Our modern Risk Intelligence and Response platform empowers teams to detect emerging threats, assess impact, and respond with confidence. We believe building resilience should be simpler-and it starts with bringing critical information and workflows together in one unified platform. \nOur core values drive us in our important mission of keeping people safe & informed: \nWe’re humans not robots \nCustomers always come first \nWe work better together \nSimplicity is our strength \nOur reputation is priceless \nHard work pays off \nAs one of the fastest growing SaaS start-up companies in the nation, we’re focused on finding the best talent and building the best team to continue accelerating our rapid growth to keep up with our demand. \nAlertMedia is looking for a Senior Product Manager to lead the strategy and development of new AI capabilities that help organizations coordinate complex critical-event response workflows. This person will take the product from zero to one-turning customer needs into trusted automation and partnering with Engineering and Design to rapidly prototype, ship, and scale new solutions. \nWho you are: \nYou have built products that turn scattered, manual work into something coordinated and dependable. You have watched capable people stitch together tools, tabs, and checklists by hand to get through a high-stakes process - and you have felt the pull to replace that friction with software that simply does the right next thing. You know the difference between automation that earns trust and automation that gets in the way. \nNow you want to do that at scale, for thousands of teams, on a product being built from the ground up. You are curious about how customers actually work rather than how they say they work, comfortable making decisions with imperfect data, and energized by taking a blank page and shipping something real. You are as interested in the operator’s daily reality as you are in the roadmap that serves it. \nWhen a critical event unfolds, the hard part is rarely knowing that something happened - it is coordinating the many steps, people, and systems that have to move in the right order, quickly, and often all at once. AlertMedia is transforming how organizations turn response into action, and you will own how we build it. \nWhat you get to do every day: \nCustomer and Market Understanding \nDevelop deep expertise in the personas we serve - security, safety, business continuity, IT, and operations leaders, and the responders who execute when something goes wrong - including how their work is structured, staffed, measured, and escalated. \nInterview customers and prospects continuously. Run discovery conversations, workflow walk-throughs, and feedback sessions that produce specific problem statements rather than feature requests. \nMaintain a clear, current view of the problems we solve well today, the opportunities to solve problems better, and the problems we should be solving 12 to 24 months from now. \nTrack industry trends, the automation and AI landscape, platform and integration changes, and the competitive field, and translate them into implications for our roadmap. \nStrategy, Prioritization, and Roadmap Ownership \nOwn the roadmap for new AI capabilities: decide what we build, what we defer, and what we decline, with reasoning that stands up to scrutiny. \nShape the strategy and positioning for a product that is still being defined and build the case for where it should go next. \nBalance business objectives, customer needs, and industry trends when sequencing work, and make the tradeoffs explicit to stakeholders. \nDefine the problem sets and jobs to be done that anchor each initiative, so the team understands the outcome before it debates the solution. \nWorking With Development and Design \nPartner with Engineering and Design to translate customer problems into specifications, acceptance criteria, and deliverable milestones the team can execute against. \nBreak large initiatives into releasable increments that produce customer value early and inform what comes next. \nStay close through delivery - grooming, scope decisions, testing, and launch readiness - and resolve ambiguity before it becomes rework. \nPrototyping With AI Tooling \nUse AI development and design tools such as Claude Code, Claude Design, and Codex to build working prototypes, pressure-test concepts, and put something tangible in front of customers in days rather than quarters. \nTreat prototypes as a research method: use them to invalidate weak ideas inexpensively and to sharpen strong ones before Engineering commits. \nBring that fluency to the wider product team and raise the bar for how quickly we can move from idea to evidence. \nMeasurement \nDefine what success looks like before launch - adoption, time saved, workflow completion, reliability, retention impact, revenue contribution - and instrument for it. \nAnalyze product usage data and customer outcomes after release, report honestly on what worked and what did not, and feed those findings into the next round of prioritization. \nGo-To-Market Enablement \nWork with Product Marketing to position new capabilities, shape messaging, and equip Sales, Customer Success, and Support to sell and support them with confidence. \nTranslate product functionality into narratives and practical applications that customer-facing teams can use in real conversations. \nLead internal training, demos, and Q&A sessions so the organization understands not just what shipped but why it matters to the people who use it. \nWhat you bring to the role: \n4+ years of product management experience, including owning a product or major product area end to end - discovery, delivery, and measurement. \nExperience taking a product or major capability from zero to one: defining the problem, shaping the concept, and shipping the first versions into customers’ hands. \nPrior experience working on agentic and/or AI-native products - workflow automation, process orchestration, integration platforms, agentic tooling, or similar. \nA working understanding of how AI and LLM-based capabilities are designed into products, including where they add leverage and where they need guardrails. \nA systems mindset - you naturally think in terms of workflows, dependencies, triggers, and how the pieces of a process fit together. \nStrong analytical judgment and comfort making decisions from incomplete or conflicting information. \nAdvanced written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to hold a technical conversation with Engineering and a strategic one with an executive on the same day. \nComfort with tools like Jira, Confluence, and product analytics software. \nA collaborative, no-ego approach and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-moving environment. \nResourcefulness - you keep going when the path is not clear. \nEnergetic, empathetic, and earnest, with a consistent record of delivering quality work on schedule. \nFamiliarity with Agile delivery, APIs, system integrations, and data pipelines. \nExperience in critical event management, emergency communication, security, safety, or business continuity - or with the teams that run them. \nExperience with product enablement or go-to-market support. \nLocation:Strong preference for Austin, TX candidates, but open to remote US based candidates. Please note that we currently do not hire candidates residing in the following states: Alaska, California, Hawaii, Louisiana, Mississippi, Montana, New Hampshire, North Dakota, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Vermont, Washington, West Virginia, and Wyoming.\nSponsorship:This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship. Candidates must have existing authorization to work in the U.S. without the need for sponsorship now or in the future.\nWhy this role matters : \nOur customers rely on us to help them keep their people safe and their business running. When we get it right, a response that used to take a dozen manual steps and several anxious people happens quickly and correctly - and a team gets to focus on the situation instead of the software. \nWe are looking for someone who wants to build on that and make it possible for many more teams to respond well under pressure. If that is the mission you want to spend your time on, we would like to talk with you. \nWhy you’ll love working at AlertMedia: \nAt AlertMedia, you won’t just build your career - you’ll be part of something meaningful, surrounded by people who genuinely care about the work and each other. \nCompetitive base salary + Variable Compensation + Company-wide bonus program \nGenerous and flexible time off and parental leave policies \nHealth benefits - Medical, Dental, Vision and Life Insurance are 100% paid for employees! \n401K with generous company match \nAmazing rewards and incentives - we love celebrating each other! \nCommitment to community service with opportunities to give back \nA Best Places to Work company 10 years in a row and numerous other awards \nAccess to new downtown office with 360 views of Austin, high-tech building gym and nearby running trails \nOngoing career development opportunities through our Learning & Development team \nYou'll do meaningful work-while growing your career in a fast-moving, global company with an award-winning culture \nAbout AlertMedia: \nWe are the leading risk intelligence and response platform - trusted by the largest companies in the world to protect their people and assets when it matters most.
