This role is an opportunity to use a wide variety of design and technical web skills to help us develop and support features for the AlertMedia product suite. As an AI-forward company, we actively use modern AI tools such as Claude, Codex, and other emerging technologies to help our engineers work smarter, move faster, and build better products. \nWho you are: \nYou thrive in a collaborative engineering environment that plays to everyone's strengths with a willingness to work across the entire stack. You have experience developing scalable production applications using modern backend technologies, ideally Python or Elixir. You care about the quality of your work, the impactful product you help build, and the team you help build it with. You have AWS (or other cloud) experience and are willing to learn from people with both more and less experience than you. You are a user of AI-assisted development tools that improve engineering workflows, code quality, and team productivity. \nWhat you get to do every day: \nDesign and develop features for the AlertMedia product suite \nLearn the AlertMedia platform and tools, and its uses for our customers \nWork with Python, Elixir, JavaScript, Next.js, React and other web technologies \nUse AI-enabled tools such as Claude, Codex, and other emerging platforms to support development, problem-solving, documentation, and productivity \nWork in an Agile based environment using tools like Git, JIRA, Jenkins, and Slack \nContribute to technical innovation by identifying opportunities to improve our products, architecture, and engineering practices\nUse strong verbal and written communication skills in collaboration with other engineering and product teams \nContribute to AlertMedia’s culture, values and vision for the future \nWhat you bring to the role: \nBachelor’s degree in a technical field such as computer science, computer engineering or related field preferred \n6+ years of hands-on software engineering experience designing, building, and maintaining scalable production applications, preferably using Python, Django, Elixir, or JavaScript\nHands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and writing unit and integration tests\nExperience with containerization technologies such as Docker and container orchestration tools such as Kubernetes\nHands-on experience developing, deploying, and maintaining applications in AWS or similar cloud environments\nExperience with PostgreSQL, Redis, or similar database and caching technologies\nExperience making architectural decisions, evaluating technical tradeoffs, and owning engineering initiatives from design through implementation\nActive user of AI tools and modern developer platforms to enhance engineering quality, velocity, and collaboration \nCollaborative mindset to partner with principal engineers and leadership to drive architectural evolution for a critical application \nStrong organizational skills and ability to manage working on multiple projects in parallel \nThe ability and desire to work in a fast-paced challenging environment \nOutstanding communication skills and ability to effectively work cross-functionally in a fast-paced challenging environment \nStrong English proficiency (written and oral) is required \nLocation: This role is remote in Mexico.
