What will you be doing?

In this role, you are responsible for the electrical integration of systems on board. You translate client requirements and technical specifications into a complete design. Working closely with colleagues and other suppliers, you help shape the best possible solution-while safeguarding the bigger picture and preventing bottlenecks.

Your responsibilities include:

  • Defining system requirements and interface specifications

  • Coordinating interfaces with subcontractors and clients

  • Determining required materials and preparing production documentation

  • Monitoring progress and reporting according to project planning

You’ll work closely with the Technical Project Manager and fellow engineers. Your role is crucial to ensuring a fully functioning end result.

What do we offer you?

At Alewijnse, you’ll work on technically challenging and unique maritime projects. You’ll have every opportunity to grow in your profession and develop within a committed and collaborative team.

Here’s what you’ll get:

  • A gross monthly salary between €4,000 and €5,500 (full-time)

  • Additional pay for overtime hours

  • 25 holiday days and 13 ADV days

  • Pension scheme via PMT

  • Training opportunities and support for professional development

  • Terms of employment in line with the Dutch CAO for Metal & Engineering

And there’s more:

With WeConnect, you stay connected with colleagues. Think: sports activities, a staff association, a company webshop and many other perks.

Who are you?

You’re technically skilled, well-organised, and enjoy collaborating with colleagues, clients, and suppliers. You actively seek connection with others and have experience working with complex systems in a maritime context.

You bring:

  • A bachelor's degree (HBO) in Electrical Engineering

  • Experience as a Hardware Engineer, preferably in shipbuilding

  • Knowledge of shipboard systems and electrical integration

  • Strong organisational and communication skills

Requirements

Are you a proactive engineer with a keen eye for integration and design? As a Hardware Engineer Secondary Systems at Alewijnse, you’ll ensure that electrical systems-both from Alewijnse and external subcontractors-seamlessly integrate onboard impressive maritime projects. You’ll work within a multidisciplinary team, under the guidance of a Project Manager and a Technical Project Manager.
