The successful candidate will be responsible for leading supplier qualification activities, managing supplier audits and PPAP approvals, maintaining the Approved Supplier List (ASL), and driving supplier quality improvement initiatives to ensure suppliers consistently meet Alexander Dennis quality, reliability, and performance requirements.\nBe part of our Las Vegas team, supporting Southern Nevada’s transportation and manufacturing industry by producing double-deck buses for customers across North America. Come build the future of mobility with us.\nWHY JOIN US:\nBe part of a team leading the world's electrification of mass mobility. \nCompetitive compensation and benefits package.\n401(k) plan with generous company match.\nPassionate about creating a better product, a better workplace, and a better world\nInclusive workplace culture that values and empowers team members.\nOn-the-job training in a continuous learning environment (we invested $15.9 million in 2024) \nAdvancement opportunities within our family of companies\nWHAT YOU WILL DO:\nLead qualification of new suppliers within an assigned region and support periodic supplier recertification activities.\nManage PPAP requirements and approvals for new suppliers and products to support new product introductions and procurement initiatives.\nConduct supplier audits and evaluate supplier quality management systems to ensure quality requirements are consistently met.\nLead supplier quality investigations, root cause analysis, corrective actions, and continuous improvement activities to resolve quality issues and prevent repeat defects.\nMonitor supplier performance, assess process capability, and develop supplier quality improvement plans.\nCollaborate with Procurement, Engineering, Reliability, and suppliers to support product quality, reliability, and supplier performance objectives.\nWHAT YOU NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL:\n Bachelor's Degree or equivalent qualification in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Quality Engineering, or a related field.\n 3+ years of experience in supplier quality, procurement, manufacturing, automotive, transit bus, heavy vehicle, aerospace, or related industries.\nExperience supporting supplier qualification, supplier development, quality assurance, and supplier performance management programs.\n Strong knowledge of quality standards and methodologies including ISO 9001, IATF 16949, APQP, PPAP, SPC, RCCA, 8D, Six Sigma, DFMEA, and PFMEA.\n Experience conducting supplier audits, evaluating quality management systems, and driving corrective and preventive actions.\n Proficiency with ERP/MRP systems, supplier performance reporting, and data analysis tools.\nFamiliarity with contract review, commercial terms and conditions, and supplier agreements is considered an asset.\nOUR WHY: We exist to move people.
