So, as we shape a more resourceful, less wasteful world, we build our careers too.\nAbout the job\nAs an Assembler I, this position works to assemble products by positioning and installing components and subassemblies according to drawings and instructions. Using a variety of hand and power tools, fixtures, work instructions and test equipment that are needed to perform a series of operations to correctly assemble coolers. Prepare work to be accomplished by studying assembly instructions, blueprint specifications, and parts lists; gathering parts, subassemblies, tools, and materials. Assemble components by examining connections for correct fit; fastening parts and subassemblies using hand and power tools. Verify specifications by measuring completed cooler components. Assist Team Leader or Manager with training new employees.\nThis position is in Tulsa, Oklahoma and/or Broken Arrow, Oklahoma.\nAs a part of the team, you will:\nPositions parts and subassemblies by reading blueprints and instructions. \nAssembles components by examining connections for correct fit. \nOperates hand and power tools to connect parts. \nPerforms tube installation and rolling operations. \nKeeps equipment operational by completing preventive maintenance requirements; following manufacturer's instructions; troubleshooting malfunctions with Team Lead, Supervisor and/ or Team Manager approval. \nProvides needed material(s) to various workstations and/or locations. \nLoads and unloads trucks, units and parts. \nReads blueprints or instructions for job specifications. \nOperates cut saws, drill presses, and punch press, as needed to fabricate parts and subassemblies. \nKeeps equipment operational by completing preventive maintenance requirements; following manufacturer's instructions; and troubleshooting malfunctions. \nUse precision measuring devices to check quality of work. \nSafely rigs structure and material for movement by overhead crane. \nResponsible for maintaining a clean work area both during and at the end of each work shift. \nAll employees are expected to prioritize safety, regardless of role. This includes strict adherence to company-wide safety policies and procedures, proactive promotion of safe practices, and addressing unsafe behaviors or conditions in a constructive and positive manner. \nEmployees expected to conduct themselves with professionalism, courtesy, and cooperation toward colleagues, customers, vendors, and visitors. \nFull compliance with all Alfa Laval policies and procedures is required to maintain a respectful, safe, and productive work environment. \nWhat you know:\nYou have a High School Diploma or GED, preferred and:\n1 year of professional experience related to manufacturing preferred \nBasic math skills including the ability to read a tape measure and callipers required \nDemonstrated ability to read blueprints preferred. \nExperience using industrial machines preferred. \nForklift operation certification preferred. \nOverhead crane experience preferred \nDemonstrates proficiency in one or more of the following equipment: radial drills, fin tube machinery, large vertical band saw, presses, breaks and shears. \nPhysical and Environmental Factors:\nPhysical Requirements (lifting, climbing, standing, equipment use):\nRegularly exert up to 50 lbs of force occasionally: 30 lbs of force frequently \nStands or walks 80% of workday. \nRequired to have visual acuity to operate motor vehicles and/or heavy equipment. \nLifting raw materials, assemblies, and equipment using lifts, or manually up to 50 lbs \nAn overhead crane will be used for items over 50lbs. \nIndividuals will be climbing ladders, bending squatting and using many mechanic type of tools. \nMobility & Posture: Standing, walking, crouching, stooping, kneeling, and balancing on varied surfaces \nManual Dexterity: Reaching, grasping, pushing, pulling, and lifting objects using upper body strength \nFine Motor Skills: Repetitive motions involving wrists, hands, and fingers for precision tasks \nCommunication: Clear verbal expressions and active listening to convey and receive detailed instructions \nSensory Abilities: Adequate hearing to distinguish sounds and spoken communication in a work environment \nEnvironmental Factors (hazardous materials, work location, work surfaces, exposure):\nMust wear Personal Protective Equipment: steel toe boots, safety glasses, and ear plugs \nExposure to outdoor weather, extreme heat or cold, loud noise, and vibration \nWork near hazards: moving machinery, vehicles, electrical currents, and chemicals \nEncounter atmospheric conditions: fumes, dust, gases, odors, and poor ventilation \nOperate in confined spaces such as narrow aisles or passageway \nThe noise level in the work environment is often loud. \nCommunicate effectively through speech and hearing \nAt Alfa Laval, we pride ourselves on creating an inclusive and dynamic workplace that values diverse perspectives and experiences.
