Please feel free to\nperuse our website www.alfalaval.com\nPurpose of job:\nThe purpose of this job is to work professionally with design engineering projects of medium to high complexity, ensuring customer satisfaction.\nThis role reports to Group Leader and would be responsible for:\nPlan and schedule EIA-related activities for the project.\n\nSelect and size field instruments.\n\nPrepare Instrument Index, Data Sheets (Specification Sheets), BOM, Cable and JB Schedule, and PLC I/O Calculation/List.\n\nPerform calculations such as CV, UPS & Battery, heat dissipation, and air consumption.\n\nDesign PLC panels, JB’s, and low-voltage electrical panels.\n\nUnderstand control valve selection and sizing.\n\nDevelop alternative designs for new product development.\n\nKnowledge of instrumentation standards (IEC, BS, ANSI, NFPA, ISA, UL) is essential.\n\nFamiliarity with CE and UL norms, as well as HAZOP studies, is required.\n\nReview engineering documents, analyze designs, and retrieve information to complete project design documentation.\n\nReview vendor drawings and documents; perform technical bid evaluations.\n\nSupport procurement actions.\n\nCoordinate the planning of design activities.\n\nKnowledge of PLC system architecture, types of PLCs, I/O cards, HMI, and SCADA is required.\n\nSupport Supply Chain in identifying, evaluating, and selecting alternate vendors.\n\nEstimate costs and approve electrical systems.\n\nAttend site meetings with customers, consultants, and external suppliers.\n\nDirectly responsible for: Instrumentation & Automation engineering, Field Instruments design, Instrument design calculation, Power supply calculation, testing of the panels, documentation, Control System Software FAT, Instrument selection & support for Projects and modular systems, Cost estimation\n\nIndirectly responsible for: Project management, coordination within the project team/ customer / consultant.\n\nExperience and Qualification:\n4 to 8 years of engineering experience.\n\nB.E. in Instrumentation & Control Engineering (required).\n\nSkills:\nFluent in written and spoken English.\n\nDetailed knowledge of instrumentation design tools, such as INTOOLS and ePlan.\n\nStrong knowledge and experience in project work.\n\nCross-cultural awareness.\n\nAwareness of PLC programming.\n\nAttitude:\nStructured and systematic approach.\n\nFocus on high quality and standards of work results.\n\nTeam player with strong communication and negotiation skills.\n\nEager to share knowledge and experience with others.\n\nCustomer-oriented and effective in cooperation.\n\nSelf-driven and responsible, also accountable for others.\n\nWhy should you apply:\nWe offer you an interesting and challenging position in an open and friendly environment where we help each other to develop and create value for our customers.\n\nAn exciting place to build a global network with different nationalities.
