You will be essential in operating and maintaining conventional and special-purpose machines to fabricate structural parts and assemblies with precision. You’ll have the opportunity to apply your expertise in machine shop theory, shop mathematics, material machinability, and layout techniques-helping drive both quality and efficiency. With minimal assistance, you'll contribute directly to our organization's success and ongoing growth.\nThis position is in Tulsa, Oklahoma and/or Broken Arrow, Oklahoma.\nAs a part of the team, you will:\nProvide materials to workstations and various locations as needed. \nRead blueprints or instructions for job specifications. \nSet up, operate, and maintain machines, including loading, machining, unloading, and de-burring. \nMeasure, mark, and scribe dimensions for accuracy. \nSelect and secure tools, fixtures, accessories, and materials. \nMonitor machine operations, detect malfunctions, and make necessary adjustments. \nReplace and install machined parts, ensuring proper functionality. \nMay install machined replacement parts into mechanisms, equipment and test operation of unit to ensure functionality and performance. \nMaintains machine and associated tools with limited assistance. \nUse precision measuring devices to check work and troubleshoot issues, escalating concerns when needed. \nTroubleshoot incoming problems; communicate with Lead or Supervisor any that require assistance. \nTransport product to assigned department. \nSafely rig and transport structures and products using overhead cranes and forklifts. \nFollow instructions, seek clarification, and assist team leaders or managers. \nAssist Team Leader or Manager with various tasks and training others as needed. \nCrosstrain in different areas to enhance team flexibility. \nMaintain a tidy work area during and after each shift \nPerform other assigned tasks as needed. \nAll employees are expected to prioritize safety, regardless of role. This includes strict adherence to company-wide safety policies and procedures, proactive promotion of safe practices, and addressing unsafe behaviors or conditions in a constructive and positive manner. \nEmployees expected to conduct themselves with professionalism, courtesy, and cooperation toward colleagues, customers, vendors, and visitors.\n Full compliance with all Alfa Laval policies and procedures is required to maintain a respectful, safe, and productive work environment.\nWhat you know:\nYou have a High School Diploma or GED, preferred and:\n3 or more years of professional experience related to manufacturing preferred \nBasic math skills including the ability to read a tape measure and calipers required. \nDemonstrated ability to read blueprints preferred. \nExperience using industrial machines preferred. \nForklift operation certification preferred. \nOverhead crane experience preferred. \nDemonstrates proficiency in one or more of the following equipment: radial drills, fin tube machinery, large vertical band saw, presses, breaks and shears. \nPhysical and Environmental Factors:\nPhysical Requirements (lifting, climbing, standing, equipment use):\nRegularly exert up to 50 lbs of force occasionally; 30 lbs of force frequently \nStand or walk for 80% of the workday \nRequired to have visual acuity to operate motor vehicles and/or heavy equipment. \nMobility & Posture: Standing, walking, crouching, stooping, kneeling, and balancing on varied surfaces \nManual Dexterity: Reaching, grasping, pushing, pulling, and lifting objects using upper body strength \nFine Motor Skills: Repetitive motions involving wrists, hands, and fingers for precision tasks \nCommunication: Clear verbal expressions and active listening to convey and receive detailed instructions \nSensory Abilities: Adequate hearing to distinguish sounds and spoken communication in a work environment \nEnvironmental Factors (hazardous materials, work location, work surfaces, exposure):\nMust wear Personal Protective Equipment: steel toe boots, safety glasses, and ear plugs \nExposure to various weather conditions cold or hot, wet/humid conditions, and loud noise levels.
