As a Quality Technician, you will oversee and monitorthe inspection and testing of materials, parts, and products to ensure adherence to establishedcompany quality standards, ASME code, and customer requirements. Your contributions will be vital to the success and growth of our organization.\nThis position is inBroken Arrow, Oklahoma.\nAs a part of the team, you will:\nFollow all safety policies - leads by example, and confronts unsafe behaviorproactively\n\nAssess the production area for quality and product integrity by performing evaluations and tests according to ASME, customer ITP, regulatory, and company standards\n\nIdentifyany products that do not meet required specifications. Analyzetest results to determinereasons for failure and determineroot cause.\n\nCheck that all equipment used for Quality Assurance meets specifications. Verify that all equipment is properly calibrated.\n\nHelp and instruct Leads in production, following established procedures set by the company and regulatory agencies/authorities.\n\nMonitor and audit manufacturing activities for conformance to company standards and regulatory policies.\n\nPlaces inventory on hold if it is suspected to be non-conforming and notifies Quality Manager.\n\nReviews record documentation for completeness, securing corrections or justifications when deficiencies are found.\n\nWorking knowledge in PT, Hardness readings, MT, Visual Inspection\n\nUnderstanding of WPS, PQR, WPQ and AWS - D1.1\n\nWorking knowledge of ASME (U1a form), National Board (NBIC).\n\nInspect welding activities\n\nReview test reports, post weld heat treat charts, and defect records\n\nAssistwith internal and external audits for ASME compliance\n\nPerform receiving inspection for product identification, material requirementsand MTR’s\n\nDocument test results\n\nPrepare Non-Conformity Reports when a problem is detected in the production process\n\nComply withall company policies and procedures\n\nKnowledge of internal instrumentation such as chart recorders and hydro gauges\n\nAssistswith other tasks as needed.\n\nWhat you know:\nYou have a Highschool diploma or GED required; college or technical school degree preferred, and:\n3+ years’ experience in heat exchanger manufacturing quality control environment or a combination of education and experience required.\n\nAbility to read and interpret engineering drawings\n\nAttention to detail\n\nProblem solving\n\nClear communication\n\nStakeholder engagement - possessingexcellent interpersonal skills\n\nDeadline driven with a sense of urgency and customer focus\n\nAbility to work independently as well as in a team environment\n\nAbility to prioritize situations and tasks by importance\n\nRespond to rapidly changing priorities and deal with multiple demands\n\nBasic computer skills - Microsoft Office Suite (Teams, Excel, Wordand PowerPoint, etc.)\n\nPhysical Requirements: (lifting, climbing, standing, equipment and/or motor vehicle use):\nJob requires walking 60% of workday\n\nMust be able to lift 45 pounds occasionally\n\nEnvironmental Factors: (hazardous materials, work location, work surfaces, exposure):\nShop Floor: Frequently exposed to outside weather conditions\n\nShop Floor: Occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions; moving mechanical parts; fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, risk of electrical shock and vibration.\n\nShop Floor: The noise level in the work environment is often loud.\n\nShop Floor: Ability to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) (Steel toe boots, safety glasses, and ear plugs)\n\nAt Alfa Laval, we pride ourselves on creating an inclusive and dynamic workplace that values diverse perspectives and experiences.
