The role requires strong hands-on experience with Appium, TestNG, mobile automation and API testing, along with the ability to maintain and execute automation test suites across iOS and Android platforms.\nYou will work closely with development, product and QA teams to identify quality risks, automate critical test scenarios and ensure applications meet functional, performance, usability and accessibility requirements.\nKey responsibilities:\n1. Mobile Application Testing\nDesign and execute functional test scenarios for native iOS and Android applications.\nPerform end-to-end testing across different mobile application workflows.\nValidate application functionality across supported devices, operating systems and screen sizes.\nExecute regression, smoke, sanity and integration testing for mobile releases.\nIdentify, document and track defects through resolution.\nEnsure application releases meet defined quality standards.\n2. Mobile Automation\nDesign, develop and maintain automated test suites for iOS and Android applications.\nDevelop mobile automation scripts using Appium.\nUse TestNG for test execution, organization and reporting.\nIdentify appropriate candidates for automation and continuously expand automation coverage.\nMaintain reusable automation frameworks and components.\nTroubleshoot automation failures and improve test stability.\nIntegrate automated tests into the overall quality and release process.\n3. API and Services Testing\nDesign and execute API test scenarios for mobile backend services.\nValidate API requests, responses, status codes, authentication and data integrity.\nPerform integration testing between mobile applications and backend services.\nUse appropriate tools to troubleshoot API and application issues.\nEnsure backend services support mobile application functionality reliably.\n4. iOS and Android Testing\nPerform application testing across both iOS and Android platforms.\nWork with Android SDK and Xcode for application testing and troubleshooting.\nAnalyze device-specific issues and platform-specific application behavior.\nValidate application behavior across different OS versions and device configurations.\nCollaborate with developers to reproduce and troubleshoot mobile defects.\n5. Non-functional and Accessibility Testing\nPerform relevant non-functional testing for mobile applications.\nValidate application usability, reliability and performance.\nConduct mobile accessibility testing against applicable accessibility standards.\nIdentify accessibility issues related to navigation, controls, labels, contrast and user interaction.\nSupport quality improvements across different user and device scenarios.\n6. Device and Environment Management\nExecute tests across physical devices, emulators and simulators.\nWork with device cloud platforms for broader device and OS coverage.\nConfigure and maintain mobile test environments.\nAnalyze device-specific failures and determine whether issues are application, platform or environment related.\nMaintain appropriate test-device coverage for critical application workflows.\n7. Defect Management and Quality Reporting\nLog and manage defects using Jira or similar defect-management tools.\nProvide clear reproduction steps, logs, screenshots and supporting evidence.\nCollaborate with developers and product teams to clarify expected behavior.\nRetest fixes and manage defects through closure.\nPrepare test execution and automation status reports for stakeholders.\nCommunicate release risks, quality concerns and test results clearly.\n8.
