Clipchamp\nRole Overview\nWe are looking for a hands-on Senior Automation QA Engineer with strong expertise in Playwright, TypeScript, and Behaviour-Driven Development (BDD) to strengthen our automation QA practice across multiple analytics-driven web applications.\nThe candidate will be responsible for expanding automation coverage and building a scalable, reusable automation framework across products. Strong experience in UI and API automation, Cucumber-based BDD, Azure DevOps CI/CD integration, and automated validation of analytics and dashboard workflows is essential.\nKey Responsibilities\n1. UI & API Test Automation\nDesign, develop, and maintain UI and API automation suites using Playwright and TypeScript.\nAutomate critical workflows across analytics-driven web applications and dashboards.\nDevelop reliable automated tests for functional, integration, and regression scenarios.\nValidate application behaviour across different workflows and identify defects early.\nEnsure automation coverage focuses on high-value business-critical scenarios.\n2. BDD Automation & Framework Development\nImplement Behaviour-Driven Development (BDD) automation using Cucumber.\nDevelop and maintain reusable page objects, services, utilities, and automation components.\nBuild scalable and maintainable automation frameworks that can be reused across multiple products.\nFollow automation design principles and coding best practices.\nContribute to framework enhancements, standardisation, and continuous improvement.\n3. Analytics & Data Validation\nAutomate critical analytics, reporting, and dashboard workflows.\nValidate UI data against API responses and database results.\nVerify data consistency, accuracy, and integrity across application layers.\nCollaborate with development and QA teams to identify suitable data-driven automation scenarios.\nInvestigate discrepancies between UI displays, API responses, and underlying data.\n4. Azure DevOps & CI/CD Integration\nIntegrate automated test suites with Azure DevOps CI/CD pipelines.\nSupport automated test execution as part of continuous integration and delivery workflows.\nConfigure and maintain automation execution processes within pipeline environments.\nAnalyse test execution results and investigate pipeline failures.\nImprove automation reliability and support efficient release validation.\n5. Test Reporting & Troubleshooting\nMaintain test execution reporting using Allure.\nAnalyse automation failures and perform root-cause analysis.\nDebug flaky tests, locator issues, and failures involving dynamic web applications.\nIdentify and resolve automation framework and test execution issues.\nCommunicate test results, defects, risks, and recommendations to relevant stakeholders.\n6.
