This position plays a critical leadership role in creating a safe, affirming, trauma-informed, and inclusive environment that supports the well-being, dignity, and independence of LGBTQ+ young people.\nSCHEDULE: Sunday- Thursday or Tuesday - Saturday\nLOCATION: Manhattan and Brooklyn\nKEY RESPONSIBILITIES\nStaffing & Scheduling\nCreate and manage monthly & daily staff schedules \nEnsure all shifts are fully covered; coordinate call outs and last minute coverage \nParticipate in hiring, onboarding and training of Youth Counselors\nProvide direct supervision to Resident Advocates (7am-3pm & 3pm-11pm) \nSupervision & Staff Development\nConduct regular supervision with Youth Counselors\nProvide real time coaching and guidance\nAddress staff performance concerns and escalate as needed \nDaily Operations\nEnsure sites are safe, stocked, clean and functional\nOversee food and supply tracking/ordering in collaboration with the Operations Team\nEnsure work orders are submitted and followed up on \nMaintain smooth day to day program flow \nResident Support & Crisis Management\nLead real-time crisis intervention and de-escalation\nAddress resident concerns, grievances & conflicts\nEnsure residents are connected to services and engaging with care teams \nProvide immediate response to incidents and ensure proper documentation \nAdministrative Oversight\nEnsure completion and accuracy of: Log books \nIncident reports\nResident charts \nGroup notes & binders\n\nSupport audit preparation and compliance processes\nCommunication & Coordination\nServe as main point of contact for daily program updates\nCommunicate key issues to Director of Housing Programs \nParticipate/lead treatment team & staff meetings\nOn-Call Requirements\nProvide on-call support from 7am-7pm on scheduled workdays \nQualifications\nQUALIFICATIONS\nHigh School Diploma or equivalent required\nMinimum of two (2) years of experience in residential, shelter, supportive housing, transitional living or youth serving programs \nMinimum of one (1) year of supervisory or leadership experience including coaching, scheduling and overseeing youth-facing staff \nPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS\nExperience working with LGBTQIA+ youth, young adults experiencing homelessness or other vulnerable populations \nKnowledge of trauma-informed care, harm reduction, positive youth development and crisis intervention models \nExperience participating in hiring, onboarding and training of direct care staff \nExperience supporting compliance activities, audits and quality assurance processes \nFamiliarity with residential housing regulations, documentation standards and program operations \nBilingual or multilingual skills are a plus \nWORK ENVIRONMENT & PHYSICAL DEMANDS\nPrimarily works in a 24 hour residential housing environment \nFrequently walks throughout the site to monitor safety, conduct room checks and support staff and residents \nWill be required to respond to behavioral crises, emergencies and other high-pressure situations requiring sound judgment and timely decision-making\nOccasionally lifts and moves supplies weighing up to 25 pounds and
