That’s why Aliaxis are here to help create the safest, most effective, and reliable solutions for sustainable fluid management.\nThe Opportunity/Role\nThis is an excellent opportunity for an Maintenance Engineer to support the safe and efficient operation of manufacturing plant and equipment. Focusing on electrical systems, controls, and automation, the role will drive equipment reliability, fault resolution, and continuous improvement, while acting as the site SME for electrical and control systems. Responsibilities would include:\nProvide expert support for electrical, controls, and automation systems, including PLCs, drives, sensors, instrumentation, and machine safety equipment.\nCarry out planned and reactive maintenance, fault finding, repairs, and installations to maximise equipment reliability and performance.\nEnsure all maintenance activities are completed in compliance with health, safety, environmental, and company standards, including electrical isolation and LOTOTO procedures.\nDrive continuous improvement, automation enhancement, and root cause analysis initiatives to improve safety, efficiency, quality, and OEE.\nSupport maintenance shutdowns, equipment upgrades, capital projects, and cross-functional engineering activities within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.\nShift & Pay\n12 hour Panama shift pattern (inclusive of 12 hours day, night and weekend shifts)\nSalary: £51,275.08 per annum + £9,400 shift allowance\nRequirements\nProven electrical, controls, and automation experience within a manufacturing environment, with strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills.\nNVQ Level 3 Electrical Engineering qualification (or equivalent apprenticeship); HNC/HND desirable.\nAbility to read and interpret electrical schematics, control drawings, and technical documentation.\nExperience with PLCs, drives, HMIs, and industrial automation systems would be advantageous.\nStrong focus on safety, continuous improvement, reliability, and preventative maintenance.\nEffective communicator with the ability to work collaboratively across multi-disciplinary teams.\nExperience in plastic extrusion/injection moulding and qualifications such as 18th Edition, IPAF, or FLT are desirable.\nBenefits\nHoliday purchase scheme\nLife Assurance 6x annual salary\nCritical illness cover\nPension contribution up to 10%\nDental and healthcare cash plan\nEnhanced parental leave\nGreat discounts on local retailers and restaurants\nFantastic Health & Wellbeing package including an Employee Assistance Programme and access to My Strength\nCycle to work scheme\nPlus many more\nEqual Opportunity Employer\nAliaxis is proud to be an equal opportunity employer who welcomes candidates and employees from all backgrounds.
