Our mission is to shape a better tomorrow by connecting people with water and energy.\nWe currently have an exciting opportunity as a Production Supervisor!\nThis role will be based in our plant in Lynchburg, Virginia and report to the Production Manager.\nDo not miss the opportunity to join a broad family of people-centric professionals, thought leaders and rapid thinkers, entrepreneurs in spirit and status quo-fighters!\nJob Summary\nAs the Production Supervisor, you will lead night shift manufacturing operations to achieve safety, quality, productivity, and cost objectives while supporting employee development and continuous improvement initiatives.\nThis position will be on Night Shift from 6:45 PM to 7:00 AM on a Continental schedule.\nPrincipal Responsibilities\nSupervise daily production activities to ensure safety, quality, efficiency, and output targets are achieved\nExecute production schedules by optimizing labor resources, equipment utilization, and workflow\nLead shift transition meetings and communicate priorities, performance expectations, and operational updates\nMonitor production metrics, identify performance gaps, and implement corrective actions to resolve issues and improve results\nTroubleshoot operational challenges and coordinate with Maintenance, Process Management, and other support teams to minimize downtime\nAnalyze production reports, including output, scrap, downtime, and labor performance, to support data-driven decision-making\nManage departmental resources, materials, and expenditures while supporting budget and cost-control initiatives\nMaintain compliance with quality standards, ISO requirements, and operational procedures, ensuring accurate documentation and audit readiness\nCoach, mentor, and develop production employees through performance management, training, and cross-functional skill development\nSupport recruitment, onboarding, and training activities to build a capable and engaged workforce\nFoster a culture of accountability, teamwork, continuous improvement, and operational excellence\nChampion health, safety, and environmental programs by ensuring compliance with company policies, supporting incident investigations, and promoting safe work practices\nLead 5S, standard work, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement initiatives focused on enhancing safety, quality, productivity, and sustainability\nQualifications & Experience\nHigh school diploma or equivalent\n3+ years' experience in a manufacturing or distribution environment, with at least 1 year in a supervisory/lead capacity\nLean manufacturing experience is strongly preferred\nKnowledge of Injection Molding including process, raw materials, tooling, and equipment is a huge asset\nExcellent leadership/coaching, written & verbal communication, problem solving, and critical thinking skills\nA solid understanding of computers including Microsoft Office applications\nIPEX is committed to providing accommodations for people with disabilities throughout the recruitment process and, upon request, will work with qualified job applicants to provide suitable accommodation in a manner that takes into account the applicant’s accessibility needs due to disability.
