This facility will allow to:\nSpeed up the design iteration cycle, by reducing the leadtime of chip fabrication\nImprove the capability of Alice&Bob nanofabrication processes (improving performance and mastering 3D integration)\nAs part of the Quantum Hardware department, the “Nanofabrication Backend” team will play a pivotal role in operating and developing the “backend of line” used for manufacturing Alice&Bob Quantum Processor. Technically, this encompasses:\nRoom temperature electrical testing\nDicing\nOptical inspection\nWirebonding of chips inside sample holders\nThe team is in charge of:\noperating the tools for the regular delivery of test chips\ndeveloping/improving new processes (for better quality/leadtime/chip selection…)\noverseeing its own tools (daily check of the tools, ensuring maintenance schedules are followed, 1 level of troubleshooting)\nselection, installation and qualification of new tools\n\nResponsabilities\nAbout the Role\nAs a Test & Characterization Engineerwithin the Nanofabrication Backend Team, you will play a critical role in validating our fabrication processes, ensuring data reliability, and developing innovative testing methodologies for superconducting qubits. You will contribute to improving wafer and chip performance through rigorous device testing, robust metrology, and collaborative problem-solving across teams.\nDevelop and optimize superconducting qubit testing methods at room and cryogenic temperatures, providing fast feedback to nanofabrication processes and ensuring efficient sorting of chips.\nCollaborate with design and process integration teams to define and evaluate test structures that improve wafer- and chip-level performance.\nEnsure accuracy and reliability of equipment metrology, data acquisition systems and inspection equipment.\nContribute to the identification, procurement, and validation of new test and metrology equipment for the backend nanofabrication line.\nImplement continuous improvement plans to enhance testing efficiency, reliability, and throughput.\nPerform device testing at room and cryogenic temperatures, ensuring accurate and reproducible results.\nParticipate in failure analysis and root cause investigations, helping to close the loop between design, fabrication, and performance.\nRequirements\nMaster’s degree or Ph.D. in Physics, Electrical Engineering, Materials Science, or a related field.\n3+ years of hands-on experience with device testing, electrical measurements, or semiconductor/metrology equipment.\nFamiliarity with superconducting devices or cryogenic measurements is a strong plus.\nProficiency with data acquisition systems, lab instrumentation, and analysis tools (e.g., LabVIEW, Python, MATLAB, JMP).\nStrong problem-solving mindset, analytical rigor, and attention to detail.\nAbility to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, cross-disciplinary environment.\nLanguages: Proficient in English;
