Learn more at careers.alight.com .\n\nOverview of Role\n\nSeeking a talented .NET Developer with 7–10 years of experience in building modern MVC web applications using .NET and Angular. The role focuses entirely on application development and requires strong analytical and technical skills, the ability to thrive in an Agile Scrum environment, and a track record of delivering high‑quality code with minimal supervision.\n\nResponsibilities\n\nDesign, develop, and maintain scalable web applications using ASP.NET MVC and C#.\nBuild interactive, responsive, and high‑quality front‑end components using Angular.\nDevelop and integrate RESTful APIs using .NET Core to support front‑end and backend interactions.\nUnderstand, interpret, and create detailed low‑level design (LLD) documents.\nWrite clean, efficient, and well‑structured code aligned with industry best practices, including SOLID principles, design patterns, and code review standards.\nCollaborate with cross‑functional teams—QA, UX, DevOps, and Product—to translate business requirements into robust technical solutions.\nTroubleshoot, debug, and resolve application issues while continuously improving performance.\nEnsure application quality with regard to performance, security, scalability, and responsiveness.\n\nTechnical Skills Required\n\nStrong proficiency in ASP.NET MVC and C# for developing scalable and maintainable web applications.\nHands‑on experience with Angular (Angular 15+), including components, services, RxJS, routing, and state management.\nExpertise in .NET Core / .NET 6+ for building RESTful APIs and backend services and testing it through Postman.\nExperience with writing unit test cases using NUnit, Jest, and Vitest frameworks.\nSolid understanding of relational databases such as SQL Server, including writing queries, stored procedures, and performance optimization.\nStrong front-end knowledge in HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, TypeScript, and UI design practices.\nDeep understanding of software design principles and best practices, including SOLID, design patterns, and clean coding standards.\nGood knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodologies and iterative development practices.\nProficiency in version control systems, primarily Git (branching, merging, pull requests).\nExperience in debugging, troubleshooting, and performance tuning across both frontend and backend components.\nExperience using SonarQube for static code analysis and code quality improvements.\nBasic understanding of application security concepts, including authentication, authorization, and OWASP guidelines.\nFamiliarity with DevOps and CI/CD pipelines using tools like Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions.\nStrong understanding of secure coding, input validation, authentication and authorization considerations, automated testing, and production readiness.\nExperience using AI-assisted development tools to improve software delivery productivity, such as GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Perplexity, or similar tools.\nAbility to critically review, improve, and validate AI-generated code before implementation.\nAbility to critically review, improve, and validate AI-generated code before implementation.\nAbility to write effective prompts for code generation, refactoring, debugging, unit test creation, API design, and documentation.\nPreferred experience with AI-enabled application development, LLM concepts, RAG, semantic search, vector search, Azure OpenAI, or similar AI platforms.\n\nRequired Qualifications\n\nBachelor's or master's degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related technical field.\nMinimum 3 years of experience in application development.\nStrong analytical and problem-solving abilities.\nExcellent Communication and interpersonal skills.\nAbility to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.\nAbility to work with the onshore team during some overlap US hours. \n\nApplication and Interview\n\nBy applying for a position with Alight, you understand that, should you be made an offer, it will be contingent on your undergoing and successfully completing a background check consistent with Alight's employment policies.
