As a Senior SDT, you will design and extend automatic test systems for complex problem domains in a regulated medical environment.\nRole expectations\nInteract closely with clinical experts, project managers, product owners, and software developers, to analyze specifications and deliver detailed requirements.\nFind advanced solutions for verifying open-ended clinical requirements.\nDevelop functional, regression, performance, and integration testing solutions using test automation tools\nPerform exploratory testing to quickly uncover problems and to guide the development of more formal test scripts.\nWrite and review automatic tests, and support software developers in writing tests early in the development process.\nTroubleshoot and triage manually reported problems and feedback.\nContribute to documentation, architecture, project planning and sizing.\nParticipate in release preparation: software verification, maintenance of test coverage, troubleshooting and production support.\nAct as QA lead for releases containing work from multiple teams: preparing test strategies, risk assessments, reviewing test plans, coverage, overseeing execution and documentation\nSet up, maintain, and improve reliable test environments and CI/CD pipelines.\nSet up, configure, maintain, and improve existing automation frameworks. Research new test tools, test methodologies, and trends, to upgrade existing practices and processes and to create new frameworks.\nCollaborate with other teams to improve automation, QA methodologies, and best practices throughout the company. \nWhat we're looking for\nBachelor’s degree in computer science, Mathematics or related field, or equivalent experience in commercial software development.\n8+ years of professional experience in similar positions in an enterprise / commercial environment.\nDeep understanding and 6+ years of practical experience with tools, methodologies, and frameworks for automatic software testing.\nUsing AI/LLM (Claude, Copilot) tools every day, for all aspects verification/testing \nExcellent knowledge and practical experience with Python.\nExperience in AWS cloud platform working with services like Lambdas, API Gateway, S3, AmazonMQ (RabbitMQ), App Config, CloudWatch, etc.\nExperience in agile SDLC.\nWorking knowledge of GIT\nExperience with Build Management, Software Configuration Management, Change Management, and Release Management activities.\nExperience in writing and maintenance of technical documentation.\nHighly motivated, creative, self-starter, with excellent organizational, communication and interpersonal skills and a “can do” attitude. Thrives in a high-paced, multi-task environment.\n Complementary skills\nExperience working in highly regulated industries (such as Banking, Financial, Healthcare, Medical Devices, Aerospace, etc.)\nExperience working with Atlassian stack Bamboo, Zephyr (TM4J), Bitbucket, JIRA, Confluence etc. \nExperience with working with GitHub stack, including GitHub Actions.\nExperience working with Splunk which our primary monitoring tool.\nExperience testing versioned REST API REST/web services, event streaming.\nMathematical background, and knowledge of optimization methods, linear algebra, analytical geometry, and/or 3D graphics on a university level.\nKnowledge of modern C++ or C#. \nPay Transparency\nIf provided, base salary or wage rate ranges are the range in which Align reasonably expects to set a candidate’s pay for the posted position.
