The Driver is a member of the Finance, Administration and Operations (FAO) Department of the Jhpiego Liberia Office. Under the supervision of the Logistics Officer, the Driver will be responsible for supporting Jhpiego staff and visitors by transporting persons and materials to project sites, including loading and unloading vehicles. The Driver will operate vehicles in a safe manner in accordance with local laws and organizational policies, while strictly adhering to traffic rules and regulations.Responsibilities\nA. Driving\nUnderstand the basic operations and maintenance requirements of vehicles.\nEnsure the safety and comfort of all passengers at all times.\nTreat passengers with respect and courteously regardless of gender, age, religion, or nationality.\nAlways keep supervisor informed if driving at night or if driving into areas considered potentially unsafe.\nNever use vehicle for personal use.\nDeliver and pick up material and documents at offices, following instructions accurately.\nAssist passengers with schedule, route, and direction information.\nPerform other related duties as directed by supervisor and respond to calls by Jhpiego Management for weekend duty.\nB. Repair and Maintenance\nKeep the vehicle neat and clean at all times.\nRefuel vehicles.\nCarry out necessary inspections.\nComplete daily safety and maintenance checks of the vehicle. Perform minor maintenance, repair, and cleaning work on vehicles (e.g., replace bulbs, refill radiator water, change tires).\nEnsure timely engine oil changes and replenishment of other lubricants, including brake fluid and engine oil, when required.\nC. Documentation\nMaintain accurate records, including vehicle logs, fuel consumption, oil changes, maintenance records, and other required documentation.\nFollow the safety and security guidelines.\nNotify supervisor of any safety or maintenance concerns.\nD. Safety & Security\nMake sure safety belts are properly fastened.\nDo not permit unauthorized adults or children to travel in Jhpiego vehicles.\nComply with all applicable safety requirements, laws, and regulations.\nDo not leave assigned vehicle unattended at any time.\nE.
