The 2nd Shift Production Supervisor oversees shop employees in a manufacturing and assembly environment. This position plans and assigns work, implements policies and procedures, and recommends improvements in production methods, equipment, operating procedures and working conditions. Apply now!\nResponsibilities:\nDirects all production staff including effectively assigning tasks, communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, and adhering to policies and procedures.\nGenerates production plans and resource scheduling based on staffing, deadlines, materials and equipment and report those plans regularly to Production/Operations Manager. \nMeets production operational standards by implementing production, productivity, and quality standards.\nImproves workflow by eliminating stoppages; analyzing delays; trying new methods while utilizing continuous improvement methods and strategic planning.\nManages demands on assembly resources for time sensitive projects with respect to other work, bringing to management’s attention conflicts that will compromise quality or timeliness of delivery.\nMaintains Quality Control Procedures; sets and monitors product standards to ensure finished products are of prescribed quality.\nActively participates in and support lean/AST activities.\nMaintains safe and clean work environment through the use of the 5S program.\nMay demonstrate and/or perform production activities to meet demand or coach employees.\nMay oversee facilities and maintenance responsibilities for the location as required.\nMinimum Requirements:\nAssociate’s Degree in a manufacturing related discipline, Bachelors preferred.\n3 - 8 years of supervisory experience in a production environment is desired. \nExcellent interpersonal skills, including the ability to work as a constructive member of a cross-functional team, sharing product and company knowledge as needed.\nStrong communication and conflict resolution skills.
