The position would be office-based for roughly 50% of your working hours.\nThe Role and Location: New York (hybrid, part-time)\nOur AlixAlumni program is a key driver of growth for the firm. We have big ambitions for the future and are seeking an Alumni Engagement Intern to help us build on our success to date.\nThis is a paid part-time internship in New York, NY reporting to the Employee and Alumni Relations Senior Specialist and will be approximately 6 to 8 months in length and generally 15-20 hours a week. Paid relocation and benefits are not available for this position.\nWhat you’ll do\nYou will gain experience in marketing events, content creation, platform management, and data analysis, along with the opportunity to learn from others in AlixPartners and our Employer Brand Marketing and Communications team.\nYour work may vary daily, but will include:\nUpdating the alumni database to ensure that alumni records are as accurate as possible.\nCreating alumni event materials including event communications, briefings, and nametags.\nResearching alumni to be featured in our alumni spotlight series.\nSourcing and updating our AlixAlumni online community portal with new content including jobs, alumni spotlights, alumni news, and event information.\nSupporting the employee offboarding process and ensuring accurate information on all departing employees is captured.\nAssisting with developing alumni communications including our global newsletters and social media posts.\nMonitoring a critical metric reporting suite and supporting the generation of monthly KPI reports.\nAdditional responsibilities as required. This description is not designed to encompass a comprehensive listing of required activities, duties, or responsibilities.\nWhat you will bring\nPursuing, or recently earned, an undergraduate degree in an applicable field of study.\nInterest in alumni relations, marketing/communications, event management, community marketing, or a related field.\nAmbitious and collaborative approach including the ability to multi-task in a high-performing environment.\nAnalytical and capable of managing related reports and metrics.\nHigh attention to detail in order to plan, track, and measure the smooth and timely delivery of projects.\nInterest and/or experience in CRM systems, including databases and event management tools.\nProactive self-starter with an understanding of the importance of confidentiality when handling sensitive information.\nProfessional communication skills both verbally and written in English with the ability to deliver clear messages and collaborate effectively within and across teams.\nComfortable learning how to leveraging firm-approved AI tools and technology to support day-to-day work efficiencies, streamline tasks, and enhance productivity.\nCore working hours are generally 8:30 AM - 5:30 PM, Monday - Friday; willingness to work outside of normal U.S. business hours, and as unique projects/needs arise.\nAbility to work part-time in an office and remote environment; physically able to sit/stand at a computer and work in front of a computer screen for significant portions of the workday.\nMust become familiar with, and promote and abide by, our Core Values as defined by the AlixPartners’ Code of Conduct and foster an inclusive environment with people at all levels of an organization.\nMUST BE CURRENTLY AUTHORIZED TO WORK IN THE UNITED STATES.
