Senior IT Business Analyst (German-speaking) - Aliz

As a Senior IT Business Analyst you will act as the primary bridge between our German-speaking business clients and our technical delivery team. Your goal is to collect and translate the customer requirements to the Data Engineering team and Project Manager, while managing client relationships, and making sure that the team is moving into the right direction.

Key Responsibilities

• Requirements Gathering: Actively extract, synthesize, and document business needs from customers and stakeholders (strong Business Analysis skills required).
• Business-to-Tech Translation: Discover and translate client concepts and KPIs for the Data Engineers (e.g., analyzing existing client dashboards to understand their terminology, KPIs, and data mapping). You have to make sure that the delivery team is aligned with the stakeholders’ requirements.
• Client Workshops: Lead workshops with business users to understand the core requirements, what reports they need and why, and what the customers use the data for.
• Solution Validation: Take the delivery team's proposed designs and validate them back with the client to ensure they fit the original needs.
• Defend & Demo: Present and demonstrate built solutions. You must be technically fluent enough to confidently explain, defend, and "sell" the delivery team's technical decisions to the client.
• Roadmap & Backlog Management: Define the data platform roadmap with the client and collaborate with the delivery team to build a backlog.

What We Are Looking For

• On site presence: 3 days/month should be spent with the customer on-site (based in Germany).
• Language: Fluent in German (mandatory for client-facing tasks) and English.
• Communication: Excellent client-facing communication and relationship-building skills.
• DWH experience: Understanding of how data warehouses work, experience in a DWH migration project, and understanding of the challenges, and methodologies that it requires.
• Data project experience: Have some experience working with Data projects.
• Focus: You are a front-line interface and requirement owner, not a delivery leader or implementation owner.
• Google Cloud Platform (or similar) knowledge (nice to have): You don't have to implement a solution by yourself, but it's good to have credibility in the room with the customers.
