The role is intended for someone with existing construction knowledge and hands-on experience who is ready to further develop their technical and site leadership skills.\nReporting Relationships\nReports to Project Manager \nRoles reporting to position None\nApproximate number of reports 0\nEssential Functions\nSupport the Field team in planning the workflow on construction sites, the day-to-day planning and coordination of construction activities.\nSupport the field team with on-site tracking and documentation, including maintaining site diaries, work logs, and records of work completed, materials used, volunteer hours, and scopes performed.\nSupport the tracking of construction progress and communicate delays, challenges, or resource needs to the Site Supervisor or Construction Site Coordinator.\nTogether with the Site Supervisor hold daily morning meetings on site to deliver health and safety briefings and divide the work for the day.\nProvide training, guidance, and direction to different audiences, such as day volunteers and corporate groups, on work scopes and lead their on-site work teams. \nOversee certain tasks on construction sites with guidance from the Site Supervisor or Construction Site Coordinator.\nSupport the implementation of agreed construction methods, safety procedures, and quality standards on site.\nIdentify construction challenges and provide basic troubleshooting, escalating more complex technical issues to the Site Supervisor or Construction Site Coordinator.\nAssist in field coordination as needed\nAdheres to an agreed set of safety and quality standards and ensures these standards are maintained.\nAssist with the procurement, receipt, organization, and tracking of construction materials and tools. \nWork closely with the Construction Site Coordinator and Site Supervisor to receive coaching, feedback, and practical training while progressively taking on additional responsibilities.\nBuild construction, safety, leadership, and site coordination skills through hands-on experience and guidance from experienced staff.\nProgressively develop the skills needed to lead work teams, oversee construction activities, and troubleshoot common site issues with greater independence.\nPerform other duties as required\nPosition Requirements\nEducation High school diploma or equivalent required. \nRelated Experience 2+ months of volunteer and 1+ month Team Leader and/or Site Manager All Hands and Hearts experience. \nSpecial Competencies/Certification Good written and oral communication skills and confident working with Google Workspace, particularly Google Docs and Google Sheets; and Microsoft Office. Applicants need to be well organized and have a flexible approach to managing multiple tasks and prioritizing them appropriately.
