Possible locations are\nMexico, Nepal,Florida ,orPhilippines.\nPosition Purpose\nA versatile position within a dynamic nonprofit that helps communities recover after disasters and gets children back in school.This position is responsible for developing and overseeing response or recovery projects and management of the field team.\nReporting Relationships\nReports to Program Director\nRoles reporting to position Project Coordinator(s), Construction Site Coordinator(s), Site Supervisors, Logistics Coordinator, Site Supervisor Trainees\nApproximate number of reports2-5\nEssential Functions\nDevelop and monitor scopes of work and project timeline, queue, budget and quality control.\nEnsure all program tracking systems related to projects are updated regularly and maintained and use data to compile regular reports\nDeliver project targets within the approved time and budget constraints\nEstablish and uphold clear safety practices for project sites in collaboration with Project Coordinator(s), Site Coordinator(s), and Site Supervisor Trainees\nSupport in the development, implement, and review of program emergency procedures and safety and security protocols\nEffectively manage a diverse team to meet the needs of the affected community and empower them to carry out their functions effectively and efficiently\nFinancial responsibilities include the construction budget; project labor, pre-construction budget, tools and equipment and materials.\nOversee training of Site Supervisors and Site Supervisor trainees\nIdentify and prepare for potential surges in volunteer numbers to ensure consistent engagement in projects\nWork with local partners to foster collaboration in support of projects\nIdentify and manage subcontractors as needed on a project by project basis\nPerform other duties as required.\nPosition Requirements\nEducationBachelor’s degree or equivalent training and experience in a relevant field. Architect, civil engineering or structural engineering degree preferred.\nRelated ExperienceA minimum of two years’ experience working in a disaster response context, preferably with All Hands and Hearts. At least one year of experience in a construction or technical role with project management responsibilities, including budget tracking and reporting. Management experience in a professional setting. \nSpecial Competencies/Certifications \nGood written and oral communication skills and confident working with Google Workspace, particularly Google Docs and Google Sheets. Must be confident working with design software such as AutoCAD and Microsoft Office, specifically including MS Project.Applicants need to be well organized and have a flexible approach to managing multiple tasks and prioritizing them appropriately. Strong leadership skills with a proactive approach to identifying and solving problems. The individual is able to manage a large workload and perform in a fast-paced environment. Familiarity with international humanitarian standards including Sphere and HAP.
