This is an immediate opening.\nEssential Functions\nRespond to leaks, stoppages and fixture failures and make permanent repairs to code.\nRepair water heaters, valves, drain lines and piping; perform sewer camera inspections.\nSupport mold and moisture response with the Mold / Moisture / Envelope Technician by stopping the water source and helping dry the space.\nComplete mobile work records and parts custody transactions.\nInstall, inspect and maintain backflow prevention devices in accordance with local requirements.\nService water heaters safely, including temperature and pressure relief valves, venting and gas or electrical connections.\nUse lead-free materials on potable water systems and follow the applicable plumbing code (IPC/UPC).\nCompetencies\nPlumbing diagnostics and code-compliant repair\nReading plumbing drawings\nSafe system isolation\nAccurate documentation\nWater heater and backflow safety\nSupervisory Responsibility\nNone required for this position\nWork Environment\nField-based work in barracks and housing facilities, including roofs, attics, mechanical rooms and occupied residential rooms.\nPhysical Demands\nThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.\nLifting up to 50 lb.\nClimbing ladders and working on roofs, in attics and in mechanical rooms.\nExposure to heat, cold and outdoor weather.\nDriving a service vehicle between buildings.\nPosition Type/Expected Hours of Work\nFull-time and part-time positions available. Typical hours are Monday through Friday, daytime. Shifts may require some evening or weekend work, and this position participates in an on-call rotation for after-hours emergency escalations as duty lead.\nTravel\nDaily local travel between buildings on the installation.\nExperience\n5+ years of commercial or multifamily plumbing experience, including leak response, fixtures, water heaters, drains and piping repair.\nAbility to read plumbing drawings and isolate systems safely.\nPreferred:\nSewer camera (e.g., SeeSnake) inspection.\nWater-damage first response.\nPEX, copper and CPVC piping.\nFamiliarity with the International Plumbing Code (IPC) and Uniform Plumbing Code (UPC).\nExperience with gas piping and water heater venting.\nEducation\nHigh school diploma or GED plus completion of an apprenticeship or trade program.\nAdditional Eligibility Qualifications\nJourneyman plumber license (Kentucky or Tennessee) preferred; required for lead plumber positions.\nOSHA 10 certification required.\nBackflow certification preferred.\nValid driver's license and acceptable driving record.\nMust be able to pass a background check and obtain installation access.\nDrug Free Workplace\nAll Native Group is a Drug Free Workplace.
