We are committed to connecting people to Medora through positive, life-changing experiences.\nSummary\nAs a member of the lodging team, a Hotel/Motel Front desk Representative will operate the front desk at the campground and assist guests with inquiries, which includes being familiar with information about Medora, the campground, and other needs during registration, stay, and checkouts.\nDuties/Responsibilities\nEfficiently manage the operations of the front desk, ensuring minimal time is required for check-in and checkout. \nAble to use Opera, Etix, and other computer systems or able to learn. \nCollect payment using the store point of sale system, Clover. \nProcess returns and exchanges. \nRetrieve merchandise from sales floor, stock room, or other inventory locations to replenish the shop items that are understocked. \nWarmly and professionally welcome guests. \nOn-site and available after hours as needed to assist guests. \nDirect guests to appropriate hotel or campground staff for assistance with questions and special requests regarding food, laundry, concierge services, or housekeeping. \nHandle guest issues as they arise. \nTreat requests with professionalism, tact, and a courteous manner. \nEnsure prompt delivery of final bills to guests. \nEnsure the campground store and shared areas are neat and orderly, which may include occasional sweeping, mopping, dusting, vacuuming, disinfecting of workspace and restocking of toiletries upon need. \nAble to make and answer telephone calls. \nThroughout shifts, able to make reservations for motels, golf, and a number of other TRMF events. \nMaintain knowledge of hotel policies including room rates, discounts, special offerings, and events with extensive knowledge of RVs. \nMaintain knowledge of upcoming events, local areas, and hotel offerings. \nParticipate in weekly safety meetings. \nParticipate in workplace safety meetings. \nPromote sales of events and services by providing all guests with enthusiastic and accurate information for these offerings. \nInteract and maintain positive relationships with guests, co-workers, and management consistent with TRMF values. \nPerform other related duties as required. \nSupervisory Responsibilities -None\nRequirements\nRequired Skills/Abilities\nExcellent verbal and written communication skills. \nReliable, on time, and ready for every shift. \nTake ownership over all areas of the operation. \nAbility to sit or stand for extended periods of time. \nAble to take initiative. \nExcellent time management and organizational skills. \nHigh attention to detail. \nAble to learn new technical systems. \nProvide outstanding guest service. \nRequired Education and Experience\nMust give exceptional service to all guests. \nMust be able to troubleshoot and create solutions if needed. \nPrior campground work experience preferred. \nA valid US driver’s license is preferred but not required. \nMust have excellent computer/typing skills to ensure quick and efficient customer service for our guests. \nMust be fluent in English, bilingual a plus. \nWork Environment\nThis job operates in a campground environment. Indoor settings will be in a controlled, temperate environment while outdoor conditions may be in a hotter or colder climate, especially at the Medora Musical. This role routinely uses standard campground and housekeeping equipment. Frequently works with others, around electrical power, sharp/objects/tools, and heavy machinery, and around dust, odors, gases, or fumes. Occasionally work alone.\nPhysical Demands\nThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.\nWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to; to talk or hear and stand and walk. The employee frequently is required to balance, bend over, repetitive use of hands or arms. Occasionally sit, climb, grasp, lift and carry up to 40 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.\nOur Location\nTRMF is in Medora, North Dakota, in the heart of the Badlands and near the entrance to Theodore Roosevelt National Park. \nLocated near the North Dakota and Montana border along Interstate 94, Medora offers convenient access to 110 square miles of rugged natural beauty, outdoor recreation, and regional attractions. Employees have opportunities to experience the surrounding Badlands through activities such as stargazing, biking along the Maah Daah Hey Trail, and exploring the Medora area. \nThe Life Skills Center serves as TRMF’s central hub of operations and provides a state-of-the-art campus designed to support employee work, learning, wellness, and community.
