We are committed to connecting people to Medora through positive, life-changing experiences.\nSummary\nAs a member of the lodging team, a Front Desk Representative will operate the hotel/motel front desk and assist guests with inquiries.\nEfficiently manages the operations of the front desk, ensuring minimal time for check-in and checkout\nWarmly and professionally welcomes all guests\nDirects guests to appropriate hotel staff for assistance with questions and special requests\nHandle guest issues as they arise\nTreats requests with professionalism, tact, and courteous manner\nEnsures prompt delivery of final bills to guests \nEnsures lobby and shared areas are kept neat and orderly\nMaintains knowledge of Medora, Hotel Rooms, Hotel Policies and is able to assist guests in making reservations or providing recommendations \nRequirements\nRequired Skills/Abilities\nExcellent verbal communication skills.\nProvide consistent, excellent customer service. \nReliable, on time, and ready for every shift. \nAbility to stand for extended periods of time. \nRequired Education and Experience\nPrevious Front Desk experience desirable. \nMust be able to operate PMS system, or willing to learn. \nMust possess math skills sufficient to make changes for customers quickly and accurately. \nMust be fluent in English, bilingual a plus. \nWork Environment\nThis position is generally in an indoor setting in a controlled, temperate environment. Occasionally working outside in hot conditions when working the Medora Musical.\nPhysical Demands\nThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.\nWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee is continuously required to talk, hear, hand/eye coordination, stand, walk, have repetitive use of hands and arms, and grasp. Visual acuity to determine accuracy, details and transcribe data, determine neatness and thoroughness of work assigned, and determine safety of workplace surroundings for themselves and guests. Occasionally required to push, pull, stoop, bend, lift and carry up to 25 pounds.\nPosition Type/Expected Hours of Work\nThis is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Sunday through Saturday.
