At South East Water, we don’t just talk about work-life balance and continual professional development (CPD)-we build them directly into our culture.\nSupporting a Project Manager, you will take ownership of all technical and engineering aspects of your assigned projects from conception to completion, including a PLC replacement project. You will be the technical anchor-planning, scheduling, and managing tasks to ensure accuracy, safety, and top-tier quality.\nAlthough this role offers flexible/hybrid working (office/home), you will be expected to travel to any location or site within South East Water’s supply areas, as required, as part of the project(s) you are working on e.g. pre-construction and construction phase elements such as scoping or Contractor progress/design review meetings, defect reviews etc.\nMain Responsibilities\nPrepare, schedule, coordinate and monitor the assigned engineering projects\n\nMonitor compliance to applicable codes, practices, policies, performance standards and specifications\n\nInteract daily with the clients to interpret their needs and requirements and represent them in the field\n\nPerform overall quality control of the work (budget, schedule, plans, personnel’s performance) and report regularly on project status\n\nAssign responsibilities and support the project team\n\nCooperate and communicate effectively with project manager and other project participants to provide assistance and technical support\n\nReview engineering deliverables and initiate appropriate corrective actions\n\nCollaborating with stakeholders about their needs and goals for the project\n\nWhat you'll need\nA degree, HNC, or HND in an engineering discipline.\n\nChartered or working towards Chartership (CEng).\n\nProven working experience as a Project Engineer.\n\nA solid understanding of PLCs.\n\nExperience in a water distribution or similar industrial background.\n\nA strong understanding of CDM 2015 and how it's applied to projects.\n\nA strong understanding of the various NEC contracts and their application.\n\nExcellent communication and time management skills.\n\nA valid UK driving licence.\n\nEmployees are required to be flexible and to be prepared to perform duties and other tasks within their capabilities.
