Ensures the timely completion of all projects related tasks, in accordance with established procedures. Participates in the development and implementation of the department’s staffing/scheduling plan. Provides direction to subordinates on improving job performance and contributes feedback to the Team Member performance review.\nDuties/Responsibilities\nProvides orientation and departmental rules, policies and procedures. \nSupervises training of new kitchen team members. \nPrepares all required paperwork, including but not limited to forms and reports in an organized and timely manner. \nEnsures all equipment is kept clean and kept in excellent working condition through personal inspection and by following preventative maintenance programs.\nFamiliar with Stewarding SOP’s. \nAbility to work all areas stations. \nAdhere to all sanitation, safety, and food preparation laws and regulations.\nMust be physically present to work a regular, reliable, and predictable work schedule in accordance with business demands, and maintain a consistent and regular attendance record.\nAssist culinary staff with ensuring that all food preparation areas and equipment is clean and properly sanitized on a daily basis.\nClean, sanitize and store properly all dishware, glassware, silverware, flatware, pots and pans\nResponsible for the proper sanitation and cleanliness of all kitchens and food preparation areas including ovens, grills, stoves, hoods, fryers, slicers, and other equipment as needed. \nPerform special projects and other responsibilities, tasks, or duties as requested.\nSupervisory Responsibilities \nAssist management in training and monitoring of new team members to help them achieve success.\nAssist management in monitoring and enforcing company and departmental safety policies, health department policies, and all other applicable policies.\nAssist with developing and overseeing work schedules, monitoring time and attendance\nAssist with payroll\nPrepares for and oversees health inspections, both in-house and from outside agencies, including Riverside County\nAssist management in hiring, training, scheduling, evaluating, counseling, disciplining, motivating, and coaching employees.\nFollow all company and safety and security policies and procedures; report accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions to manager; complete safety training and certifications.\nEnsure uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional \nMaintain confidentiality of proprietary information and team member records\nProtect company assets.\nAssist in daily operation of the kitchen as needed. \nProvides all line staff with the necessary tools and equipment for safe food handling.\nDirect team members in completion of tasks as designated by assignment sheets and/or needs.\nOversee maintenance and upkeep of storage areas\nManage flow of activity during production and during events\nEducation / Qualifications\nMust be 21 years of age, or older.\nHigh School Diploma or GED required.\nMinimum of two (2) years of stewarding experience or equivalent experience required.\nPrevious lead/ supervisory experience, preferred. \nAny combination of education, experience and training that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities.\nMust possess firm understanding and practical application of health and safety standards and laws.\nPossess strong interpersonal and organization skills.\nIntermediate proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook\nMust be able to work in a smoking environment.\nMust be able to work any day of the week and scheduled shift.\nMust be able to provide evidence of eligibility to work in the United States of America.\nCertificates, licenses and registration\nAbility to obtain and maintain a valid Soboba Tribal Gaming Commission license. \nRequired to submit to and obtain negative results on all drug and/or alcohol testing.\nRequired to have a valid Riverside County Food Handler Card \nSoboba Casino Resort Benefits\nFull-time team members are eligible to participate in a variety of group health and wellness benefits upon timely submission of appropriate enrollment forms.
