while developing processes to promote efficiency.\nSpecific Accountabilities\nDeliver outstanding service to both internal and external customers, focus on clear communication and proactive problem solving \nResearch and resolve complex accounting issues, including designing and/or improving accounting processes\nCollaborate on cross-functional teams to identify and drive continuous improvement initiatives\nAnalyze, dissect, and summarize both financial and non-financial information to find correlations and irregularities\nManage and/or assist on special projects as assigned\nPrepare various regulatory and financial reports to communicate financial information in a manner that can be used to direct operations, as well as comply with regulations\nPerform accounting functions and complex calculations and reconciliations\nLead and manage staff in accordance with the Allegacy policies and applicable laws \nEvaluate internal procedures and identify opportunities for operational and technology improvements \nReview, report and address financial variances and trends\nPerform other projects and responsibilities as directed by the Controller\nRequirements\nKnowledge, Skills and Abilities\nIntermediate to advanced level of Microsoft Excel\nAbility to learn and use various report writing software\nExcellent analytical and problem solving skills\nMust demonstrate a high sense of urgency and work ethic\nAbility to multi-task and handle multiple priorities simultaneously\nAbility to work effectively in team environment\nAbility to conduct business in a professional and positive manner, exercising personal discretion and independent judgment\nAbility to work overtime as required to meet closing and project deadlines\nWillingness to learn new skills and take on additional responsibilities\nExcellent verbal and written communication skills and exceptional organizational skills\nComprehensive knowledge of FASB Accounting Rules and GAAP\nSage Intacct experience is a plus\nEducation and Experience\nBachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance equivalent experience\n8-10 years general ledger accounting experience\n5-10 years of leadership experience with Accounting Staff\n5-10 years of experience with Cost Accounting\nPreferred: Financial institution accounting
