This year, Allegion also received Gallup’s With Distinction honor - a designation reserved for a select group of organizations that go above and beyond in building exceptional workplace cultures.\nJob Profile Name: CNC Machinist\nJob Profile Code: OPH322\nReports To: Supervisor Or Manager\nJob Family Group: Operations\nDUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:\nCNC Operations:Set up and operate basic CNC functions following detailed instructions and established procedures on CNC equipment to cut, punch, form, drill, pulse, spin, mill and stamp, to produce metal parts and components per design and drawing specifications required for subassemblies or finished products.\nPerform repetitive tasks such as loading/unloading parts on machines, attaching components, and operating hand tools.\nConduct basic equipment checks to ensure tools and machines are operational.\nFollow step-by-step written or verbal instructions for machine setup and operation.\nOther duties as assigned.\n\n Quality Assurance:Perform routine quality inspections using basic measurement tools (e.g., rulers, tape measures).\nIdentify and segregate defective parts for supervisor review.\nMaintain accurate records of production counts and defect reports.\n\n Safety Compliance:Adhere to safety protocols and utilize Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).\nPerform basic equipment checks (e.g., ensuring tools are operational).\nMaintain awareness and report to leaders’ potential safety hazards.\n\nCollaboration and Communication:Work closely with team members, supervisors, engineers, and quality control personnel to address challenges and improve processes.\nCommunicate effectively both orally and in writing to report issues and provide updates.\n\nWorkspace Maintenance:Maintain a clean and organized workspace.\nStore tools and equipment properly.\n\nFlexibility and Adaptability:Work overtime as needed to meet production goals.\nCrosstrain in other areas and adjust to new processes or technologies.\n\nQUALIFICATIONS:\nMinimum Requirements:\nEducation: High School Diploma or GED\nExperience:Entry-level role: no experience required.\n\nTechnical Knowledge:Familiarity with machining techniques, tools, and equipment.\nBasic computer literacy.\n\nEssential Skills: Communication: Effective communication skills (verbal and written).\nMachining Techniques: Ability to use machining equipment, hand tools, power tools, pneumatic tools, and testing equipment effectively.\nQuality Control: Ability to produce parts and products to meet quality standards.\nProblem-Solving: Identifying issues and communicating to leader.\nSafety Awareness: Following safety protocols and maintaining hazard awareness.\nTeamwork: Collaborating effectively with all employees.\nAdaptability: Ability to be flexible in role, adjusting to new processes, technologies, or production requirements.\n\nPreferred Qualifications:\nEntry-level role: no experience required. \nPhysical Demands:\nManual Dexterity: Ability to handle parts and tools with precision.\nRepetitive Motion: Perform repetitive motions such as bending, twisting, kneeling, stooping, lifting, gripping, and grasping with hands.\nStanding Duration: Ability to stand for up to 10 hours per shift.\nLifting Requirements: Ability to lift up to 35 lbs.\nEnvironmental Exposure: Ability to work in environments with noise, chemicals, dust, sharp objects, moving/rotating mechanical parts, and temperature extremes.\nCompensation: This range is provided by Allegion. Your actual pay will be based on your skills and experience.\nThe expected Base Hourly Range: $18.50-$32.31.
