This role primarily works with machines and hand tools to assemble aluminum and wood door components. The role may include support of material handling, quality control, and material packaging. Assembly Technicians may operate machinery, such as forklifts, nail guns, hand drills, and more.\nSchedule: Monday - Thursday 6:00 AM - 4:30 PM\nWhat You Will Do:\nUnderstand and interpret product nomenclature, including working from drawings, pick lists, assembly instructions, and technical documentation.\nPrepare and fulfill orders as according to the order specification.\nOperate hand tools, such as grinders, saws, drills, pneumatic nail guns, sanders, and more.\nPerform finishing responsibilities for the product, including quality checks using calipers, tape measures, and levels.\nMaintain a high standard of cleanliness and safety in the work area.\nPrioritize and handle materials to ensure on-time-delivery to the customer per requirements.\nWhat You Need to Succeed:\nEntry level position. 1+ years of assembly or other manufacturing experienced preferred.\nExperience operating forklifts preferred.\nAbility to produce parts and products to meet quality standards.\nFollowing safety protocols and maintaining hazard awareness.\nEffective communication skills (verbal and written).\nBasic computer literacy.\nPhysical Demands:\nManual Dexterity: Ability to handle parts and tools with precision. \nRepetitive Motion: Perform repetitive motions such as bending, twisting, kneeling, stooping, lifting, gripping, and grasping with hands. \nStanding Duration: Ability to stand for up to 10 hours per shift. \nLifting Requirements: Ability to lift up to 25 lbs. \nLift Assist Devices: Use of overhead crane and forklift with training may be required.\nEnvironmental Exposure: Ability to work in environments with noise, chemicals, dust, sharp objects, moving/rotating mechanical parts, and temperature extremes. \n Personal Protective Equipment (PPE): Respirator, fall protection, welding hood, etc. may be required depending on job duty and/or work area\nWhat You’ll Get from Us:\nImmediate health, dental and vision insurance coverage, helping you “be safe, be healthy” \nWellness incentives, such as up to $1000 HSA contributions depending upon participation.\nA commitment to your future with a 401K plan, offering a 6% company match and no vesting period\nGenerous vacation and sick time, accrued through the year.\nTuition Reimbursement opportunities\nEmployee Discounts through Perks at Work \nEmployment Type: Full-time, hourly non-exempt\nCompensation: This range is provided by Allegion.
