Passion for unlocking new markets
Are you a strategic thinker with a passion for unlocking new markets? We are seeking a Business Development Specialist to drive growth in both new market verticals (e.g., commercial construction in the Dutch building industry) and geographic regions. You will be part of a dynamic Brand & Business Development team, working closely with Sales to identify opportunities, build actionable plans, and execute them with precision.
Key Responsibilities:
Market Expansion
- Research and analyze new verticals and geographic markets.
- Identify and evaluate commercial opportunities in the Dutch building industry as well as in other geographic markets.
- Develop go-to-market strategies for new segments.
Strategic Planning & Execution
- Monitor and analyze market and industry trends.
- Translate market insights into actionable commercial strategies.
- Build and execute business development plans aligned with company growth objectives.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure alignment and execution. Customer & Partner Engagement.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, partners, and prospects.
Cross-functional Collaboration
- Work closely with Sales to support lead generation and conversion.
- Coordinate with Marketing to develop targeted campaigns and content.
- Provide input to Product Management based on market feedback.
Reporting & Analysis
- Track KPIs and ROI of business development initiatives.
- Prepare regular reports and business reviews.
Key Qualifications:
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Economics, or related field.
Experience:
- Minimum 3-5 years in business development (or related area), preferably in the door & window hardware or building materials industry.
Languages:
- Fluent in Dutch and English; German is a strong plus.
Skills:
- Strong analytical and strategic thinking.
- Pragmatic approach in translating strategies into actionable plans, and able to lead and execute these.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Proven ability to open new markets and build lasting relationships.
