This role involves handling various administrative tasks related to collections, such as processing returned mail, updating customer information, and escalating overdue accounts to third-party collection agencies. The Collections Administrator plays a crucial role in maintaining the financial health of the organization by ensuring efficient and effective collection activities.\nWhat You Will Do: \nReview and action incoming correspondence related to collections and customer accounts.\nProcess returned mail and update customer account information, including email addresses.\nMaintain and update account blocks in ERP with proper documentation in accordance of SOX guidelines to ensure accurate tracking of account statuses.\nReview overdue accounts flagged for escalation to third-party collection agencies to ensure adherence to Allegion credit policy\nPrepare legal letters (notice of default) to customers prior to escalation to collection agency\nExamine customer records to ensure non-payment status before account escalation\nUpload account records into 3rd party agency portal for placement\nExamine customer accounts on case-by-case basis to ensure projects have been completed and paid for before signing lien waivers in accordance with company policies.\nCommunicate status of lien requests to subcontractors, vendors and stakeholders\nProvide Notary Public services as needed\nCollaborate with internal departments (customer service, sales, credit, cash application, logistics) to resolve deduction issues and improve collection processes.\nCommunicate effectively with internal and external customers to resolve disputes and facilitate payments.\nSupport management with reporting, engagement activities, and project management related to collections.\nWork independently in a remote environment while achieving performance goals.\nWhat You Need to Succeed:\nExperience: 1- 3 years’ experience in collections, credit adjustments, dispute management, or related fields in a manufacturing or distribution environment with heavy transactional volume beneficial but not required.\nEducation: A Bachelor’s degree in accounting, business, or a related field is beneficial but not required. \nLanguage Skills: Proficiency in Spanish or French is a plus.\nSkills: Strong organizational and time management skills, excellent communication abilities, and proficiency in spreadsheets, particularly Excel.\nPersonal Attributes:\nDetail-oriented and organized to handle a high-volume workload.\nSelf-starter who takes initiative and ownership of assigned duties.\nMotivated to drive results, adaptive to change, and a dependable team member.\nWork Conditions:\n40-hour work week with potential for overtime.\nNo travel required.\n\nWhy Work for Us?\nAllegion is a great place to grow your career if:\nYou're seeking a rewarding opportunity that allows you to truly help others.
