This position is focused on getting the job done right the first time by placing a high emphasis on quality of workmanship, accountability, safety, and teamwork.\nGENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:\n\nSupport all continuous improvements in safety, quality, 5S and existing manufacturing processes.\nProvide feedback to leadership to help resolve quality issues or operational improvements in regards to productivity and procedural changes.\nEnsure the machine is always running.\nCommunicate any issues that prevent product flow.\nKnow and abide to all company rules and policies with regards to safety and conduct, including the use and maintenance of company provided PPE.\n· Embrace the cross-training culture by a willingness to learn other jobs or tasks within the facility.\nDo daily housekeeping to ensure the work area is always clean and organized.\nFlexible schedule is required in regards to overtime and start time according to work volumes.\nPRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:\n\nSet up and operate grinding tools and maintain continuous workflow through adherence of documented processes.\nProduce parts utilizing the ‘top down” production list.\nAssist with daily PM schedule for machine, manuals and procedures.\nPerform first part inspections as well as in-process quality checks.\n\nREQUIRED SKILLS:\n\nExperience with handheld grinding tools.\nAbility to layout and load materials.\nAbility to mix and apply Bondo as required ensuring a smooth surface.\nUnderstanding of finished product quality requirements.\nPhysical Demands:\n\nFrequently grasp, push, rotate, and pull 50 pounds.\nDexterous with both hands.\nOccasionally work while in a bended, kneeled, stooped, or squatted position.\nAbility to stand for extended periods.\nAbility to wear a respirator for extended periods.\nWork Environment:\n\nFast paced custom metal manufacturing environment.\nHigh noise levels.\nContact with metals and lubricants.\nExposure to airborne metal particles and dust requiring daily use of a respirator mask.\nExposure to moving objects such as machinery, mechanical parts, forklifts, and carts.\nExposure to hot or cold temperature when working in areas of the building that cannot be temperature controlled (especially during summer months).\n\nEDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS:\nHigh school diploma or GED.\n1-2 years manufacturing experience.\nExperience in a high volume, fast paced production environment.\nMetalworking / Hollow Metal fabrication experience preferred.\nDexterous with manufacturing equipment, basic power tools and machinery.\nCompensation: This range is provided by Allegion. Your actual pay will be based on your skills and experience.\nThe expected Base Hourly Range: $20.00- 23.00 per hour.
