This position is focused on getting the job done right the first time by placing a high emphasis on quality of workmanship, accountability, safety, and teamwork.\nGENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:\nSupport all continuous improvements in safety, quality, 5S and existing manufacturing processes.\nProvide feedback to leadership to help resolve quality issues or operational improvements in regards to productivity and procedural changes.\nEnsure the machine is always running.\nCommunicate any issues that prevent product flow.\nKnow and abide to all company rules and policies with regards to safety and conduct, including the use and maintenance of company provided PPE.\nEmbrace the cross-training culture by a willingness to learn other jobs or tasks within the facility.\nDo daily housekeeping to ensure the work area is always clean and organized.\nFlexible schedule is required in regards to overtime and start time depending upon work volumes.\nPRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:\nSet up and operate Press Brake and maintain continuous workflow through adherence of documented processes.\nProduce parts utilizing the ‘top down” production list.\nLayout and load materials using measuring tools.\nChange dies when needed according to engineering documents.\nPerform first part inspections as well as in-process quality checks.\nAssist with daily PM schedule for machine including maintaining dies and watching for excessive wear.\nREQUIRED SKILLS:\nAbility to read and understand engineering documents and shop travelers.\nKnowledge of basic math.\nAbility to use hand held measuring tools including a tape measure and caliper.\nAbility to recognize die profiles needed for parts based on engineered documents.\nKnowledge of die changes and basic die maintenance.\nAbility to setup and operate a press brake machine.\nUnderstanding of finished part characteristics.\nKnowledge and ability to maintain the machine in good working order.\nKnowledge of lock out/tag out procedures.\nPHYSICAL DEMANDS:\nDexterous with use of hands to grasp and pull material.\nFrequent lifting up to 50 pounds.\nFrequent pushing and pulling 100+ pounds.\nAbility to stand for extended periods.\nWORK ENVIRONMENT:\nFast paced custom metal manufacturing environment.\nHigh noise levels.\nContact with metals and lubricants.\nExposure to moving objects such as machinery, mechanical parts, forklifts, and carts.\nExposure to hot or cold temperature when working in areas of the building that cannot be temperature controlled (especially during summer months).\nEDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS:\nHigh school diploma or GED.\n3+ years manufacturing experience in a high volume, fast paced production environment.\nMetalworking / Hollow Metal fabrication experience preferred.\nManufacturing equipment experience with CNC preferred.\nDexterous with manufacturing equipment, basic power tools and machinery.\n\nCompensation: This range is provided by Allegion. Your actual pay will be based on your skills and experience.\nThe expected Base Hourly Range: $20.00- 23.00 per hour.
