The Finish Welder is responsible for set-up, fitting, welding and finishing preparation of all parts and assemblies that comprise TGP’s product lines.\nSchedule: Monday - Thursday 5:00 AM - 3:30 PM, overtime as needed\nWhat You Will Do:\nPerform assigned welding techniques with high attention to detail.\nCoordinates with the supervisors or weld prep and scheduling position for all work.\nChecks material for defects and correct dimensions.\nVerifies all operations have been completed as specified on the documents.\nReports all issues and inconsistencies.\nUses Non-Conformance Reports (NCR)’s for materials and operations not in compliance.\nInitiates corrective actions to get NCR’s resolved and get material back into production.\nExpedites orders through welding as required.\nOperates all equipment per Standard Operating Procedure (SOP), in a safe manner.\nOrganizes & maintain the areas around the welding area.\nImproves work flow, work processes or work procedures as needed.\nWrites Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s) is required.\nMaintains equipment and tools as required by the manufacturer and as directed.\nTrains additional team members.\nMetal finishing work performed using manual and power tools.\nPeriodic welding AND finishing test required to keep current proficiency status.\nPerforms multiple operations simultaneously often required.\nProvide exceptional customer service to internal team members.\nWhat You Need to Succeed:\n2+ years of experience with MIG and/or TIG welding required\nProficiency with MIG and thin gauge welding techniques\nProficiency with sanding and grinding techniques\nAttention to detail and the ability to read blueprints, production and technical drawings\nAble to complete assigned tasks in a limited time frame\nStrong organizational and math skills\nRemains alert in a high-risk environment\nAssesses priorities to determine what is urgently needed\nMaintains schedule and tasks despite interruptions\nPreferred: WABO certification, Technical Degree in Welding\nPreferred: Experience in aluminum and/or metal finishing, stainless steel.
