This year, Allegion also received Gallup’s With Distinction honor - a designation reserved for a select group of organizations that go above and beyond in building exceptional workplace cultures.\nOperations Supervisor (2nd Shift):\nWithin our growing business, the operations supervisor is responsible for engaging their team and providing daily planning, guidance and supervision to direct reports. This leader will supervise production operations on 2nd shift at our McKenzie, Tennessee manufacturing plant. They will drive improvements within the department while maintaining records of all pertinent documentation. This role may also manage additional manufacturing and warehouse processes.\nWhat You Will Do:\nLead a team of hourly associates to safely produce product and fill customer orders on time and to specification, while achieving productivity targets.\nEngage the workforce in continuous improvement of key business metrics. Utilize lean manufacturing tools to eliminate waste. Lead Rapid Improvement Events (Kaizen) when applicable. Write, implement, and improve standard work.\nPlan daily production activities in keeping with the company’s goals and objectives and align projects to meet requirements.\nEnsure timely planning and production of material to the end customer or upstream production needs.\nOversee and review the accuracy of production in accordance with all ISO and quality standards.\nEnsure all operations functions are performed safely and in accordance with established EHS procedures.\nMaintain and issue operations performance KPI’s.\nIdentify and implement cost reduction measures to drive operational efficiency.\nPlan for the development of the staff by organizing training sessions.\nProvide leadership select, develop and evaluate personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the business.\nManage and communicate cross functionally within the organization, with suppliers, and service providers to support site-specific shipping functions.\n What You Will Need to Succeed:\n3 - 5 years of supervisory experience of a team of similar size in a manufacturing setting\nPrevious experience in a Labor Union environment is highly preferred\nHigh School Diploma is required\nAssociates Degree or Bachelor’s degree in a related field (Engineering, Manufacturing, Business, Production, etc.) highly preferred\nExposure, knowledge, and implementation of Lean Manufacturing principals highly preferred\nAbility to work independently with a high standard of integrity and ethical behavior\nProven ability to lead and develop people\nProven ability to drive engagement within a team environment\nAbility to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations\nAbility to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals\nAbility to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of employees, peers, managers, and customers\nAnalytical thinking skills and critical thinking mindset\nDetail oriented\nAbility to meet deadlines\nAllegion is a Great Place to Grow your Career if:\nYou are seeking a rewarding opportunity that allows you to truly help others.
