The Pre-Finisher must fit metal glazing beads to each frame and perform final surface preparation in accordance to required standard practices.\nSchedule: Monday - Thursday 5:00 AM - 3:30 PM, overtime on Fridays as needed\nWhat You Will Do:\nPerforms final fitting of all glazing beads on assemblies.\nPerform final sanding and cleaning of product surfaces to be coated.\nAssist in the development of Standard Operating Procedures for pre-finishing activity.\nAssist Weld Strider when needed.\nAssist in weld cells when needed.\nReports all issues and inconsistencies.\nProvide exceptional customer service to internal team members.\nImproves workflow, work processes or work procedures as needed.\nTrains additional team members.\nOperate a variety of power/hand tools and equipment, including sanders, files, screwdrivers, and drills.\nUnderstand and comply with all appropriate safety and work safety regulations.\nContinuously maintain a clean work area including the cleanup and disposal of trash, production scrap. Assists in cleaning common areas.\nOther duties as assigned.\nWhat You Need to Succeed:\n1+ years of experience working in a manufacturing environment preferred. Welding experience is a plus.\nProficiency with sanding and grinding techniques preferred.\nAttention to detail and the ability to read blueprints, production and technical drawings preferred.\nAssesses priorities to determine what is urgently needed.\nAbility to operate a variety of power and hand tools and equipment, including applicators, sandblasting and pressure washing equipment.\nAbility to set rigging and operate lifts and small cranes as needed to perform work.\nProvide high quality internal customer service.\nCapable of completing assigned tasks in a limited timeframe.\nStrong communication and organizational skills.\nAbility to receive and provide instructions in a positive manner.\nRemain alert in a high-risk environment.\nMaintain schedule and tasks despite interruptions.\nAbility to learn and work in a fast-paced environment.\nTakes initiative to escalate issues when they occur.\nPhysical Demands:\nManual Dexterity: Ability to handle parts and tools with precision.\nRepetitive Motion: Perform repetitive motions such as bending, twisting, kneeling, stooping, lifting, gripping, and grasping with hands.\nStanding Duration: Ability to stand for up to 10 hours per shift. \nLifting Requirements: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. \nLift Assist Devices: Use of overhead crane and forklift with training may be required.\nEnvironmental Exposure: Ability to work in environments with noise, chemicals, dust, sharp objects, moving/rotating mechanical parts, and temperature extremes.\n Personal Protective Equipment (PPE): Respirator, fall protection, welding hood, etc. may be required depending on job duty and/or work area\nAllegion is a Great Place to Grow your Career if:\nYou are seeking a rewarding opportunity that allows you to truly help others.
