Overtime during the week is typically 3:30pm - 2:00am and Saturdays when needed. Join our world class team of diligent problem solvers, innovators, fresh thinkers, and communicators who excite and inspire others.\nQuality Inspector\nThe Quality Inspector is responsible for independently performing standard quality checks on raw materials, in-process items, and finished products to help ensure they meet company appearance and quality standards. This role focuses on visual inspections, basic measurements, and accurate reporting. This role requires attention to detail, measurement skills, and the ability to identify defects or deviations in products. Inspectors must adhere to safety protocols, maintain organized workspaces, and collaborate with team members to address challenges and drive improvements.\nQualified candidates must be legally authorized to be employed in the United States. The company does not intend to provide sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H-1B, TN, etc.) for this employment position.\nWhat You Will Do:\nPerform step-by-step instruction for visual inspections of raw materials, in-process items, and finished products to identify obvious defects or inconsistencies.\nCheck products against simple checklists, labels, and appearance standards.\nSeparate or tag products that look damaged or do not meet the expected appearance.\nRecord inspection results clearly and report findings to production supervisors or quality team.\nFollow step-by-step written or verbal instructions.\nCollect and enter basic quality data and maintain simple inspection logs.\nReport recurring issues or observations to supervisors to support improvements.\nHelp maintain records needed for standard quality procedures.\nWork closely with team members, supervisors, engineers, and quality control personnel to address challenges and improve processes.\nMaintain safety compliance and a clean, organized workspace; perform basic equipment checks.\nBe flexible by working overtime, cross-training, and adapting to new processes or technologies.\nOther duties as assigned.\nWhat You Need to Succeed:\nEducation: High School Diploma or GED.\nBasic ability to notice differences in appearance, fit, or finish of parts and products.\nBasic computer skills for recording inspection results (e.g., simple data entry).\nAbility to visually inspect and measure product effectively.\nAbility to be flexible in role, adjusting to new processes, technologies, or quality inspection requirements.\nPhysical Demands:\nAbility to handle inspection tools and product components with precision.\nPerform repetitive motions (bending, twisting, kneeling, stooping, lifting, gripping, and grasping with hands).\nStanding Duration: Ability to stand for up to 10 hours per shift.\nLifting Requirements: Ability to lift up to 75lbs.\nAbility to work in environments with noise, chemicals, dust, sharp objects, moving/rotating mechanical parts, and temperature extremes.\nWhy Work for Us?\nAllegion is a Great Place to Grow your Career if:\nYou're seeking a rewarding opportunity that allows you to truly help others.
