You'll take ownership of the UI, workflow, integrations, and data layer across an existing portfolio of AI tools - driving architectural decisions, mentoring junior engineers, and collaborating with our AI team, Business Solutions Lead, and product owners - while our AI team continues to own the underlying algorithm and model components. You'll thrive in a fast-paced, Agile environment, take ownership from concept through production, and use AI-assisted development tools as part of your daily workflow.\nWhat You Will Do:\nOwn the software layers of our AI-powered Sales applications - UI, workflow, integrations, and data validation - while our AI team owns the underlying algorithm and model components. \nTake over support and enhancement of the existing AI application portfolio, progressively reducing dependence on the AI team. \nLead the design, implementation, and delivery of complex full-stack features, from user interfaces to services and data stores. \nArchitect scalable, robust solutions; participate in architecture reviews and POC reviews with the AI team, and contribute to the evolution of our software stack and solution designs for new tools. \nWrite high-quality, well-tested code with strong unit, integration, and end-to-end tests; champion quality, reliability, and maintainability. \nCollaborate with the Business Solutions Lead, product owners, and cross-functional teams to refine requirements, define technical work, and prioritize enhancements. \nLeverage the AI team's shared infrastructure, DevOps, and operational support rather than rebuilding it, deploying through the existing containerized platform and CI/CD pipeline. \nTrain other professionals and provide technical leadership on methods and processes within their discipline; mentor junior engineers and offshore support, and enforce best practices in code quality, documentation, testing, and version control. \nWhat You Need to Succeed:\n7+ years of hands-on full-stack development experience (or equivalent), with a track record of delivering large-scale software from concept through production. \nBachelor's degree required (Informatics or Computer Science preferred).\nAdvanced proficiency in Python and React (JavaScript/TypeScript); experience building APIs with FastAPI or similar frameworks. \nDeep experience designing, developing, and maintaining REST APIs and RESTful services, including event- and workflow-driven integrations (e.g., inbox and CRM connections); solid understanding of microservices patterns. \nWorking familiarity with DevOps and QE (quality engineering) concepts - CI/CD, containerized deployment, and automated testing - and comfort building cloud-based production systems (Azure primarily) within an existing shared platform. \nExperience with SQL, data modeling, and designing for performance and reliability. \nFluent daily use of AI-assisted development tools, including agentic workflows and CLI's such Claude Code or Codex \nStrong problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills; ability to work effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders across cross-functional teams. \nDemonstrated ability to lead initiatives, mentor others, and drive results in a fast-paced environment. \nPreferred Experiences:\nExperience integrating with or extending generative AI / ML services and agentic architectures. \nExperience with prompt engineering and developing or maintaining reusable AI skills, prompt libraries, or tool definitions for agentic systems. \nDynamics 365 / CRM integration experience. \nExperience with testing automation, release management, and support/on-call practices. \nBackground in sales or quoting workflows. \nMust be able to clearly and concisely communicate technical perspective and status to ensure shared understanding both upwards and downwards in the organization. \nExperience working in a fast-paced, agile environment while providing consistent application lifecycle management. \nWhy Work for Us?\nAllegion is a Great Place to Grow your Career if:\nYou're seeking a rewarding opportunity that allows you to truly help others.
