The company does not intend to provide sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H-1B, TN, etc.) for this employment position.\nWhat you’ll do:\nStrategic Leadership: Contribute to the development and execution of the vision, strategy, and roadmap for Allegion’s wireless technology program in alignment with business objectives.\nTeam Building & Talent Development: Influence a multidisciplinary team of hardware and firmware engineers, algorithm developers, RF specialists, and security experts; implement ongoing training programs.\nTechnical Oversight: Guide the design and implementation of wireless hardware and firmware, antenna systems, low-power architectures, and secure communication protocols.\nAlgorithm Innovation: Oversee the development of advanced localization, intent detection, and sensor fusion algorithms; manage formal projects for custom tool creation.\nData Management & Analysis: Establish robust data collection frameworks and pipelines to capture, process, and analyze sensor data from the field; leverage insights to optimize algorithm performance and validate system accuracy.\n Standards & Compliance: Ensure deep expertise in wireless standards (e.g., ultra-wideband, Wi-Fi, Thread, Matter), regulatory requirements, and industry best practices; engage with standards bodies and consortia.\nTesting & Validation: Establish rigorous testing frameworks, including automated and real-world test environments; drive security, beta, and use-case validation initiatives.\nInfrastructure Development: Contribute to the design and operation of a wireless lab, equipped for antenna simulation, power analysis, security testing, and automated validation.\nContinuous Improvement: Create knowledge-sharing platforms, feedback loops, and industry monitoring programs to ensure continuous innovation and alignment with market trends.\nStakeholder Engagement: Collaborate closely with product, engineering, and business units to ensure wireless solutions address real-world challenges and deliver customer value.\nWhat you need to succeed:\nRequired Qualifications & ExperienceBachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related technical field \n10+ years’ experience in wireless/RF technology development, with a strong background in UWB, Wi-Fi, radar, and/or secure communication systems\nProven leadership experience in leading high-performing technical teams\nExpertise in RF hardware design, signal processing, embedded firmware and systems, and security protocols\nExperience with regulatory compliance, standards development, and industry engagement (e.g., FCC, IEEE, CSA, FiRa)\nDemonstrated ability to develop and implement R&D or technology innovation programs\nExcellent communication, project management, and cross-functional collaboration skills\nExcellent problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot complex software and hardware systems\nBasic knowledge of C, C++, and Python programming languages\nIn office collaboration 4 days a week on average\n\nPreferred Qualifications & ExperienceMaster’s or PhD. in Computer Eng, Electrical Eng, Computer Science, or related technical field\nFamiliarity with AI/ML applications in signal processing or embedded systems\nExperience productizing a broad array of algorithm development\nExperience productizing radar and other sensor and perception algorithms on embedded platforms\nExperience working with agile development teams\n\nAllegion is a Great Place to Grow your Career if:\nYou're seeking a rewarding opportunity that allows you to truly help others.
