This position will report directly to the Strategic Sourcing Manager - Direct Material, Mechanical and effectively communicate market conditions to Allegion Senior Leadership related to assigned categories, and also;\nMature overall capabilities of the strategic sourcing organization based on direct material expertise, analytic ability, and by leading the development of a sub tier supply management framework.\nCommunicate frequently to inform Allegion’s Finance Leadership and or Senior Management teams of latest market conditions and financial impacts to operating plans.\nDevelop global strategies by consulting with regional business leaders in support of Allegion requirements.\nLead all supplier selection decisions and be responsible for supplier performance relative to cost, quality, and delivery.\nWhat You Will Do:\nPerforms negotiations and determines the most competitive solutions, using a wide degree of creativity and latitude\nResponsible for meeting productivity and inflation targets and mitigates inflation impact\nFocus on achieving annual objectives in a complex, growing organization\nDetailed understanding of assigned categories and associated raw material markets\nDevelops and implements comprehensive strategies\nEffectively communicates the strategy throughout the organization\nAddresses supplier performance issues with a sense of urgency and able to manage complex commercial relationships\nEnsures quality requirements and corrective actions are implemented immediately upon notification of any failure\nExecutes contractual agreements with key / preferred suppliers\nAble to create new or unique T&C's in collaboration with Legal to protect Allegion interests (working knowledge of intellectual property, indemnification, and liability contract language)\nProficient in aligning cross functional teams to implement strategies across multi-location / regions\nAbility to construct value stream maps and utilize financial modeling techniques\nDemonstrated ability to execute cost reduction sessions with internal/external stakeholders to eliminate non-value add activities\nConducts regular Supplier Business Reviews with key suppliers\nHas a good understanding of Best Practices within Supply Chain Management and Strategic Sourcing\nExpertise in developing \"Should Cost\" and Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) models including non-monetary benefits\nEffectively mentor and teach procurement concepts\nKnows the high-level global implication of Market Condition changes and how this effects assigned categories\nGlobal Awareness: Familiar with International companies and business practices to support domestic and international supply agreement development\nMay have direct reports to manage\nWhat you Need to Succeed:\nAbility to travel up to 30% internationallyBachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, Operations, Engineering or related field\n10 - 12 years of increasing responsibility in the areas of Strategic Sourcing, Materials Management, Operations, Quality, Engineering, or related field, including supervisory experience\n\nProficient in the use of all Microsoft Office products, particularly MS Excel (e.g., excel pivot tables, macros, etc.) and PowerPoint \nundefined\nStrong business acumen and analytical thinking, as well as supplier management and contract negotiation experience\nExcellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate and influence at all levels of the organization\nMust be a strategic thinker and have demonstrated experience driving complex strategies and projects\nExperience in the development and management of a global supply base is preferred\nExperience managing multiple Mechanical commodity(s) and or associated complex assignments\nExperience with supply chain tools; ERP, GEP, etc.\nWhy Work for Us?\nAllegion is a Great Place to Grow your Career if:\n· You're seeking a rewarding opportunity that allows you to truly help others.
