Summer Intern - Global Supply Management: New Product Development & Sourced Product - Carmel, Indiana
Join Allegion’s Global Supply Management team as a Summer Intern and make a meaningful impact on our strategic initiatives, processes, and KPIs. This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in new product development, supplier relationship management, risk management, supplier diversity, and digital transformation within a global manufacturing and security solutions company. You will work closely with industry experts, participate in real projects, and develop skills that will launch your career in supply chain and strategic sourcing.
Qualified candidates must be legally authorized to be employed in the United States. The company does not intend to provide sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H-1B, TN, etc.) for this employment position.
What You Will Do:
- Learn about Allegion’s global supply management strategies and how they support business goals ( New Product Development, Sourced Product, Direct Material)
- Gain hands-on experience with procurement technologies, including ERP systems like Oracle, SMART by GEP, and data visualization tools like Microsoft PowerBI.
- Support supplier & external risk management efforts by analyzing risk factors and helping develop mitigation strategies.
- Engage with diverse suppliers to understand the impact of Supplier Diversity programs on ESG goals and supply chain resilience.
- Lead projects both internal to GSM and on a company-wide basis furthering the exposure to other functions within Allegion
- Lead efforts to digitally drive change withing the organization
- Build foundational knowledge of supply chain principles and best practices.
What You Need to Succeed:
- Currently pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Supply Chain, Management, International Business, or a related field.
- Demonstrated leadership and initiative through extracurricular activities, school projects, or work experience.
- Comfortable using Microsoft Office tools, especially Excel, PowerPoint, and PowerBI.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- Adaptable, resilient, and eager to learn new skills.
- Strong time management and creative problem-solving abilities.
- Passion for contributing to a safer and more secure world through innovative supply chain solutions.
