This year, Allegion also received Gallup’s With Distinction honor - a designation reserved for a select group of organizations that go above and beyond in building exceptional workplace cultures.\nSummer Intern, Supply Chain - Colorado Springs, CO\nSummer Intern, Supply Chain\nOur Supply Chain intern will be responsible for data analysis of the materials process from production schedule -Sales, Inventory, and Operations plan (SIOP) to shipping products.\nThey will work closely with operations leaders, material planners, schedulers, buyers, customer experience team and others to coordinate the flow of materials that achieve the company objectives relative to customer service, efficient resource/capacity utilization and inventory investment.\nQualified candidates must be legally authorized to be employed in the United States. The company does not intend to provide sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H-1B, TN, etc.) for this employment position.\nWhat You Will Do:\nResponsible to analyze data to provide scenarios that balance demand and supply while optimizing inventory and minimizing the impact of demand volatility.\nTranslate the monthly SIOP consensus plan by product family to detailed monthly, weekly scheduling plan to compare against capacity plan.\nWorks with Project Manager on team with process improvement. \nReview data integrity of ERP planning item parameters. Parameters such as lead times, lot sizes, safety stocks, delivery times, and order file data for all master scheduled Items\nReview and update training on master production scheduling, purchasing, receiving, inventory control, and document procedures and processes.\nOther projects as assigned.\nWhat You Need to Succeed:\nWorking towards BS/BA degree in business or supply chain related degree/certification\nAbility to effectively make recommendations with limited time and information.\nAbility to communicate effectively across internal materials departments.\nStrong analytical capabilities.\nComfortable leading discussions around data analyzed\nData analysis using MS Excel and/or other tools as provided.\nGeneral knowledge of ERP systems beneficial, and/or manufacturing process\nKnowledge of Lean Principles (preferred)\nGeneral capability with MS suite such as excel, word & Power BI is a plus\nWhy Work for Us?\nAllegion is a Great Place to Grow your Career if:\nYou're seeking a rewarding opportunity that allows you to truly help others.
