The Domain Architect provides architectural leadership for a defined business domain, translating business and product strategy into scalable technology solutions across Salesforce and the broader Connected ecosystem. This role partners closely with Product, UX, Delivery, business stakeholders, and other architects to guide solution design, establish reusable patterns and standards, manage technical risk and debt, and ensure solutions align with enterprise strategy. The role requires deep Salesforce expertise combined with the ability to architect integrations, data solutions, and emerging AI and agentic capabilities across enterprise platforms.\nKey Responsibilities\nDefine and enforce architectural standards, guardrails, and principles within Connected.\nProvide big-picture thinking and problem-solving to guide analysis, architecture, and solution design.\nTranslate business requirements into well-architected Salesforce solutions, leveraging declarative capabilities and reusable patterns when appropriate. \nCollaborate with Architecture, Product, and UX teams to design experiments, including AI and agentic capabilities, and validate new solutions.\nEstimate effort and assess technical feasibility to support prioritization and planning.\nPresent solution designs to Architecture teams and the Architecture Review Board for feedback and approval.\nArchitect scalable solutions across Sales/Service Cloud, Experience Cloud, Data Cloud, and Agentforce, including large data volumes, performance optimization, and MuleSoft integrations.\nGuide best practices for Apex, LWC, and Salesforce extensibility.\nProvide architectural leadership from concept through production, ensuring quality, scalability, and operational viability.\nProvide hands-on technical leadership and mentoring to developers.\nManage technology lifecycles and applications in LeanIX.\nServe as an architectural partner to Coalition and Product leadership, translating business priorities into scalable platform capabilities and technology roadmaps.\nContribute thought leadership by leveraging Salesforce innovation and industry best practices.\nCollaborate with Enterprise, Platform, and other Domain Architects to ensure end-to-end solution integrity across regions.\nResponsibilities\nEssential Functions:\nEstablish domain-specific standards and near/mid-term strategies (0-18 months) in alignment with Enterprise standards.\nDefine future-state technologies and architectures (18-60 months) and provide domain expertise to evolve Enterprise strategy.\nApply architectural principles to meet operational requirements such as scalability, maintainability, security, and reliability.\nLead and participate in R&D efforts (POCs, prototypes) with Product and UX to evaluate emerging technologies.\nProvide technical input to support Agile planning, estimation, and resource allocation.\nLead solution architecture for high-impact products in a fast-paced environment.\nEnsure adherence to Enterprise Architecture standards throughout the SDLC via design and code reviews.\nServe as technical owner and point of contact for domain solutions.\nCoach and mentor team members in technical skills and architecture practices.\nSupport SLAs, performance measures, and continuous improvement practices.\nStay current on Salesforce and domain technologies, identifying opportunities to reduce technical debt and evolve toward future state.\nQualifications\nMinimum Education and/or Experience:\nB.S. in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related major or equivalent IS / business experience.\nMultiple Salesforce.com certifications (Developer, Advanced Developer, Architect, Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, etc.)\n5+ years’ experience with Salesforce development and architecture of Sales/Service Cloud, APIs, Lightning, and Apex.\n8-10 years of IS / business experience, more specifically programming, engineering, automation, and systems analysis. Has a broad level of understanding in information systems (e.g. SOA, Master Data Management, Mobile).\nSkills/Abilities:\nProven expertise in Salesforce architecture with delivery of enterprise-scale Sales/Service Cloud, Experience Cloud, and Data Cloud solutions.\nStrong background in Apex, LWC, MuleSoft integration, and data management at scale.\nExperience defining and governing standards, principles, and roadmaps within a domain.\nSkilled in designing for security, compliance, performance, and large data volumes.\nStrong communication skills, able to tailor messaging for technical, leadership and business audiences.\nDemonstrated ability to mentor, influence, and collaborate across teams.\nHands-on expertise in AI experimentation to accelerate outcomes.\nFosters a culture of innovation, reuse, and continuous improvement.\nIdentifies and develops reusable assets and accelerators.\nEvaluates, recommends, and implements AppExchange and non-native platforms where appropriate.\nPreferred/Optional:\nSalesforce Lightning Design System / Lightning Web Components\nGitHub, VS Code, Salesforce DX\nMuleSoft integration experience\nFamiliarity with code quality and DevOps tools (e.g., SonarQube, Checkmarx)\nCRM Analytics\nSalesforce Shield\nLeanIX or similar portfolio management tools\nAppExchange products (e.g., Seismic, Gong)\nBenefits Overview:\nBenefits are subject to change and may be subject to specific elections, plan, or program terms.
