Logistics Platform & Location Intelligence

This team is the driving force behind the Logistics platform, focused on the massive-scale ecosystem behind order fulfillment. Their strategic imperative is vital: ensuring business continuity and total platform independence by building systems robust and scalable enough to instantly absorb total traffic volume. They are currently tackling scale challenges by evolving how system capacity and traffic routing are managed, while expanding a network of external logistics partners. As they refactor the architecture to process hundreds of millions of records, accurately predict system load, and optimize volume distribution, they are also defining and executing a unified, cross-organizational location intelligence strategy - moving beyond ad-hoc solutions to standardize geo-data and optimize how addressing is handled at scale.

Delivery Selection

This team works on one of the most critical parts of the Allegro shopping journey: delivery selection. They build solutions that handle around 40k requests per second, deploy to production multiple times a day, and treat every change as an independent increment. Because without delivery selection no order can happen, they care deeply about code quality, automated testing, and reliability. At the same time, they invest in knowledge sharing, continuous development, and use AI in their daily work to support nearly every stage of building new features.

The Role

We are looking for a Software Engineer 2 with a strong background in back-end programming (Kotlin) and software

architecture who is ready to lead structural improvements in high-volume data processing software and location intelligence.

You will be taking ownership of complex systems where your decisions directly impact our operational efficiency. Your day-to-day will involve everything from designing scalable system architecture and tackling complex technical challenges, to writing high-quality code and ensuring the stability of core software products. Because our systems are mission-critical, you will also monitor core system health and operational metrics, ensuring high performance, data accuracy, cost-efficiency and you will participate in off-hours duty for team products.

Important things for you:

• Flexible working hours in the hybrid model (4/1) - working hours start between 7:00 a.m. and 10:00 a.m. We also have 30 days of occasional remote work.

• The salary range for this position depending on the skill set is as follows (contract of employment, tax-deductible cost):

  • PLN 14 600 - 20 825

  • Annual bonus based on your annual performance and company results.

• Our team is based in Warsaw.
