For more information, visit allencontrolsystems.com.\nAbout The Role:\nWe are looking for a highly skilled Electronics Technician to serve as the primary technician hire supporting our Mountain View site and the initial 5-10 engineers stationed there. This is a true jack-of-all-trades role: you'll handle electrical work like harness fabrication and soldering, mechanical work like turret assembly and disassembly, and part-time office management duties like shipping, receiving, and keeping the office organized. As we grow the Silicon Valley location, you’ll transition into a more EE-centric role. You'll need to be comfortable moving fluidly between these responsibilities as the site's needs demand.\nThis role is based in Mountain View, CA.\nWhat You'll Do:\nElectrical: Fabricate and terminate cables and wiring harnesses to drawing/spec, and solder and rework electronic components and assemblies.\n\nElectrical: Perform functional testing, troubleshooting, and debugging of electrical and electronic circuits using standard test equipment such as oscilloscopes, multimeters, and signal generators.\n\nMechanical: Assemble and disassemble robotic systems and subassemblies to access boards, mounting points, and other components for repair, rework, or upgrade.\n\nMechanical: Support basic mechanical integration and fit-up work alongside engineering as needed.\n\nSite Support: Send and receive packages and shipments for the site, and help keep the office organized and running smoothly, supporting 5-10 engineers in the SW, EE and ME domains\n\nDocumentation: Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and engineering drawings; maintain accurate documentation of testing, modifications, and repairs.\n\nWhat You'll Need:\n5+ years of hands-on experience in electronics assembly, cable/harness fabrication, soldering, and circuit troubleshooting preferred.\n\nComfortable with basic mechanical assembly and disassembly work - using hand tools, following mechanical drawings, and working with fasteners and hardware.\n\nAbility to read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and mechanical/engineering drawings.\n\nA true jack-of-all-trades mindset - this role blends electrical, mechanical, and light office-management responsibilities, and you'll need to move fluidly between them as the site's primary technical hire.\n\nStrong organizational skills and follow-through, since you'll independently manage day-to-day site logistics (shipping/receiving, office upkeep) alongside technical work.\n\nYou'll Stand Out:\nIPC-A-610 or J-STD-001 certification (or equivalent workmanship training).\n\nExperience with ESD-safe handling practices in an electronics assembly environment.\n\nExperience working independently at a small or satellite site with minimal on-site technical support.\n\nExperience in a defense, aerospace, or other mil-spec manufacturing environment.\n\nWhat We Offer:\nCompetitive salary\n\nACS Equity Package\n\nHealth, Dental, Vision Insurance\n\nPaid Time Off\n\nAllen Control Systems is an Equal Opportunity Employer, providing equal employment opportunities to all employees and applicants for employment.
