{"id":3414414,"url":"https://alion.io/job/allen-integrated-solutions-systems-engineer-expert-2","title":"Systems Engineer (Expert)","company":{"id":668709,"name":"Allen Integrated Solutions","domain":"allenintegratedsolutions.com","url":"https://alion.io/company/allenintegratedsolutions","size_band":"501-1000","is_staffing_agency":false,"employer_type":"direct","is_intermediary":false,"listed_via":null,"ats_vendor":"Greenhouse","truth_index":{"grade":"B","score":84,"open_postings":21,"ghost_share":0,"stale_share":0.429,"repost_share":0,"time_to_fill_p50_days":129,"computed_at":"2026-10-30T05:48:23Z"}},"role":"Solutions","role_family":"Solutions","seniority":"senior","employment_type":null,"work_mode":"on_site","remote_scope":null,"remote_scope_basis":null,"remote_working_hours":null,"hiring_geo_confidence":"structured","locations":["Saint Louis, United States","Springfield, United States"],"countries":["US"],"hiring_countries":[],"hiring_countries_total":0,"salary":null,"salary_estimate":{"min_usd":107000,"max_usd":215000,"period":"year","method":"role_seniority_country_remote_cell","sample_n":1026},"experience_years_min":18,"visa_sponsorship":false,"relocation_package":false,"has_equity":false,"technologies":[],"status":"live","first_seen_at":"2026-10-28T17:23:46Z","employer_posted_date":"2026-10-28","last_verified_at":"2026-10-30T22:24:04Z","board_verified":true,"closed_at":null,"days_open":2,"trust":{"level":"ok","repost_count":null,"flags":[],"days_open":2},"description":"Systems Engineer (Expert) \nClearance Required: TS/SCI \nMinimum Years’ Experience: 18 \nResponsibilities\nExpert Systems Engineers assist in leading engineering teams in taking a multi-discipline approach to requirements engineering, solutions engineering, scheduling, reliability, resiliency, services development, integration, test and evaluation, maintainability and analysis across the National System of Geospatial-intelligence (NSG), Allied System of Geospatial-intelligence (ASG) and Federal Agencies to ensure timely and accurate GEOINT.\n Duties include:\nAssists the Government in directing requirements engineering, solutions engineering, scheduling, reliability, resiliency, services development, integration, test and evaluation, maintainability and analysis across the National System of Geospatial-intelligence (NSG), Allied System of Geospatial-intelligence (ASG) and Federal Agencies.\nAssists with the planning, analysis/traceability of user requirements, architectures traceability, procedures, and problems to automate or improve existing systems and review cloud service capabilities, workflow, and scheduling limitations.\nAdvises the Government on proposed changes to the solutions designs based on analysis of requirements and new technology.\nAssists the Government in the capture and translation of mission and customer requirements/needs into systems/capability requirements and solutions.\nSupports the analyses and allocation of requirements to systems architecture components and executing programs.\nAssists the Government in performing systems integration activities.\nAssist in leading Analysis of Alternatives (AoAs), Course of Actions (CoAs), Trade Studies, and Engineering Assessments.\nAssists the Government in strategic technical planning, project management, performance engineering, risk management and interface design.\nProvides expert advice to the Government in the areas of relating vision, strategy, plans, needs, requirements, and process and capability developments.\nOperates at the level of integrating multiple Major Systems Acquisitions across organizational, agency, department, and Governmental/national boundaries.\nDemonstrated knowledge of the current NSG/ASG and NRO enterprises.\nOversees and coordinates the work of Senior-, Mid-, and Junior-level Contractor Systems Engineers.\nExhibits transparency by sharing all salient facts relevant to the task at hand. Routinely provides honest and frank feedback to Government leads on the achievability of desired deliverables within proposed timeframes.\nCommunicates unexpected setbacks quickly and proposes mitigation actions. Incorporates lessons learned in future planning.\nArrives on time and prepared to actively participate in all meetings.\nRequired:\nMaster’s degree in Systems Engineering or in related technical or scientific fields such as engineering, physics, mathematics, operations research, engineering management, Computer Science, Information Technology, Management Information Systems, or related STEM degree program, or 18+ years of experience as a Systems Engineer.\n18+ years of working experience in Government or industry in relevant work areas including: DoD/IC Acquisition Process, Requirements Process, PPBES Process or system engineering of large complex System of Systems or Service Oriented Architecture/Cloud environments.\nExperience with and strong understanding of systems engineering lifecycle.\nTS/SCI clearance adjudication or ability to obtain SCI and pass a poly\nDesired:\nDoctorate in Systems Engineering or in related technical or scientific fields such as engineering, physics, mathematics, operations research, engineering management, Computer Science, Information Technology, Management Information Systems, or related STEM degree program.\nWorking knowledge of Model Based Systems Engineering, processes, tools and languages.\nSoftware Development Framework certification.\nINCOSE Expert System Engineering Professional (ESEP) certification.\nLicensure as a professional engineer.\nMembership or leadership participation in any of the following professional organizations:ACSM\nASCE\nASPRS\nOGC\nSAREM\nUSGIF\n\nExtensive work experience in the field of geospatial intelligence.\nExperience engineering solutions using Cloud-based technologies.\nExperience engineering solutions using structured and unstructured Big Data.\nExperience engineering solutions using Automation, Augmentation and Artificial Intelligence technologies.\nDemonstrated expertise in photogrammetry, remote sensing, image science, information sciences, geographic information systems, geomatics, or related
