This role will be responsible for sourcing, procurement, supplier management, and logistics across a complex, regulated environment. You will work cross-functionally with engineering, manufacturing, and program teams to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of critical components. \nThis is a high-impact role ideal for someone who thrives in ambiguity, moves quickly, and understands the unique challenges of defense procurement. \nWhat You’ll Do:\nSupplier Sourcing & Management \nIdentify, qualify, and onboard suppliers for mechanical, electrical, and electronic components \nDevelop and maintain strong supplier relationships, including negotiating pricing, lead times, and terms \nMonitor supplier performance (quality, delivery, cost) and drive continuous improvement \nProcurement & Planning \nOwn the end-to-end procurement process (RFQs, POs, contract negotiations) \nCollaborate with engineering and production to forecast demand and manage inventory levels \nMitigate supply risks and ensure continuity of critical materials \nDefense Compliance & Regulations \nEnsure compliance with ITAR, EAR, DFARS, and other applicable regulations \nMaintain proper documentation and traceability for defense-related components \nLogistics & Operations \nOversee inbound and outbound logistics, including domestic and international shipments \nOptimize shipping strategies to balance cost, speed, and security \nImplement systems and processes to scale operations \nCross-Functional Collaboration \nPartner with engineering on BOM optimization and design-for-supply-chain \nSupport manufacturing with production readiness and material availability \nWork with finance on cost tracking and budgeting \nWhat You’ll Need: \n8+ years of experience in supply chain, procurement, or operations (defense, aerospace, or hardware startup preferred) \nStrong understanding of defense regulations (ITAR/EAR/DFARS) \nExperience sourcing complex components (electronics, machined parts, etc.) \nProven ability to negotiate with suppliers and manage contracts \nFamiliarity with ERP/MRP systems\nAbility to operate in a fast-paced, ambiguous startup environment \nWhat We Offer:\nCompetitive salary\nACS Equity Package\nHealth, Dental, and Vision Insurance\nPaid Time Off\nAllen Control Systems is an Equal Opportunity Employer, providing equal employment opportunities to all employees and applicants for employment.
