As a Material Handler I, you'll gain valuable experience operating material handling equipment, managing inventory accuracy, and supporting a variety of customers while building a long-term career with Travero.\nJob Summary\nThis position operates material handling equipment to facilitate the movement of product between buildings, truckloads, and railcar, working inside and outside with exposure to temperature extremes, weather, dirt and dust. Use technology to identify product before loading/unloading. Workplace hazards exist that require safety precautions.\n What you will do\nOperates material handling equipment, such as, forklifts and pallet jacks. \nSecures trailers to all docks and provides trailer information to the office. \nOperates electric forklift and associated warehouse equipment to safely and accurately move product within the warehouse. Additional equipment may include rail cars, stretch wrappers, scrubber and hand tools. \nProper usage and compliance with warehouse management system (WMS) or Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) . Follows internal protocol for inventory accuracy and customer compliance. \nLoads and unloads trailers, trucks and rail cars in a safe manner as to not damage product or physical assets of Travero or customer. \nParticipate in inventory tracking and audits. \nPerforms all work according to established procedures and safety practices. \nEducation Requirements\nHigh School Diploma Required \n Preferred Experience\n2 years experience operating an electric forklift in a warehouse or manufacturing facility. \nPrevious experience operating an electric high reach forklift. \nPrevious experience of working with a warehouse management system (WMS) or enterprise resource planning (ERP) \nPrevious experience working in a food grade environment (warehouse or manufacturing) \nKnowledge, Skills, and Abilities\nAbility to work effectively in a collaborative and inclusive work environment. \nAbility to work independently with minimal direct supervision. \nAbility to work inside and outside with exposure to temperature extremes. \nAbility to use a calculator and basic math competency. \nFlexibility to other work assignments including sanitation, value-added, assembly and rework projects. \nAbility to occasionally lift up to 50 lbs. safely. \nOur people are passionate about what they do, the product they sell, and the customers they serve.
