Ensures that proper tax payments are made on time and in accordance with state guidelines. \nESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES\nGenerates and reviews weekly insurance company payables reports.\nEnsures surplus lines taxes and fees are billed correctly in agency management systems and that proper policy documentation has been received from Sales staff.\nReconciles and corrects discrepancies between the report and the documentation received.\nRequests and processes checks or other forms of payment for the applicable fees.\nEnsures that payment of fees and supporting documentation is sent to the appropriate state agency or Surplus Lines Association according to monthly, quarterly, semi-annual or annual due dates.\nOther duties as assigned.\nQUALIFICATIONSEDUCATION / EXPERIENCE\nAssociate’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience\nTwo (2) or more years of related work experience in surplus lines filing and insurance payables experience preferred\nSKILLS\nExcellent verbal and written communication skills\nStrong customer service skills\nAbility to organize and prioritize workload\nAbility to communicate effectively with supervisor and non-accounting employees\nAbility to work within a team and to foster teamwork \nProficient in Microsoft Office
